Maybe she is on her period as the normal age of a girl to have their period is from 8-13 years old

Thank you for your comment and reflection on your personal experience with these symptoms. I read most of it to my daughter age 10 nearly 11, who is worried about this type of pain she has been experiencing for the past 6 months. It has calmed her anxiety and affirmed my consolations to her. Being an RN of near 20 years I don't take my child to the doctor for just anything. Although we do have an appointment with a pediatric NP we will not be running to the Urgent care or seeking extreme orders for tests and lab work. It is assuring to know that this is more common than we believed, just rarely talked about. Again much gratitude for your sharing. God bless you!

Sixty years ago when I was in the army I dated the proverbial colonel's daughter for a year and a half. She was just 16 and she had terrible pains when her period showed up. Her father used to take her to the post hospital every time and nothing they did helped. After we were dating for a few months the pain became less until it went away nearly completely. We felt that was because of the intimate things we were doing. No intercourse but a lot of masturbating each other and oral sex. She still pretended to have the pains when at home because she didn't want her mother to suspect we might be enjoying each others bodies. Her mother hated me but the colonel used to let me use his car to take his daughter out until I was able to go home on leave to get my own car. She was so happy to be pain free she shoved my face down there every chance we had.
So it seemed that somehow just satisfying the natural human sex drive had a lot to do with her relief. The army doctors at several different posts where she had been since she began having her period and pain never found an answer.
I don't know how you would tell that to a young daughter but it seemed that the pains were not a serious condition except for the discomfort of the pains.

Hi Everyone, My daughter is nearly 7 and has had these symptoms she has seen a Doctor who said it was low Estrogen levels and that she would just grow out of it. I'm thinking of taking her back after tonight's episode and seeing her in agony just to see if she can have some sort of hormone therapy.

Hi.my 6 year old daughter seems to be having the same problems. It's been going on for about 6 months and only happens at night when she goes to sleep. All of a sudden she will wake up crying and won't allow us to comfort her. When it happens we give her a warm bath and usually between 5 minutes to 30 minutes it goes away and its fine. Don't know if this has anything to do with it but sometimes when she has a wee or breaks wind she is almost instantly better. Will try to get her to drink more water and eat more fiber or take powdered fiber, and see if any of that helps at all. Also will take her the doctors and see if they can help. If we have any success we will let you know straight away. And finally i also thought that it wasn't as bad as she was making out, felt guilty for that, glad to know that am not the only one who fell down that rabbit hole.

Mostly this is caused by orange squash, the peptic acid in it. Stings some... I rules it out and made great difference.
Although recently made little difference, I find high sugar content makes difference.
No lots of certain chocolate defo no lemonade or orange squash.
But I keen to find the source of the problem for good

Hi moms!
I never post in forums, but I felt like I needed to get involved in this one. My 4 year old daughter had all of these exact symptoms. For months it was an absolute nightmare trying to figure out what was causing these spasms and burning sensations that would wake her from a dead sleep. I stumbled upon this post in tears at 2am after one of her episodes and I read every single reply, hoping that I would come across a solution and was shocked that there was really nothing. We had tested her for pinworm, which was negative and had taken several middle of the night trips to the ER over what felt like the longest 2 months of my life, with zero answers. I came across a reply on this post that said to treat for pinworms regardless to rule it out. Despite her negative test and no symptoms that really match a pinworm diagnosis, I treated her for it anyways out of desperation. Ladies, it worked. It’s been 2 months since she took the medication and nothing. Not a single episode! Please please please try this on your girls even if you’re skeptical. You have nothing to lose. My hearts breaks for you all because I know the helpless feeling you’re feeling right now. Hope this helps and your babies feel better soon. ❤️

My 7 year old also wakes with the same problem for the past few years and is so frantic that she has itches herself raw when there is nothing obvious there. We took her to the GP who told us to treat her for pin worms as this can cause itching and pain in the night to outline that and also put nappy rash cream on. So now every now and then when she gets it about once or twice a year now we do the same thing. However it used to be more frequent when it first started happening. I will keep reading if anyone else has any ideas.
