Hi, I had a Pap test last month, and they found atypical glandular cells. I am very concerned, because I heard that it could be a sign of cervical cancer. Is AGC on Pap always that serious?

Hi, I also had AGC on Pap couple of months ago. I was so scared, I couldn’t sleep for weeks. I was certain that I had a cancer, and that I would need a hysterectomy. Fortunately, it turned out that I only had moderate dysplasia. Cervical cancer is the worst grade of AGC, and the least grade is ASCUS - atypical squamous cells of undetermined significance. My conditions is in between. Don’t be scared, because it doesn’t mean that you have cancer. Be happy that you discovered AGC on time. Even if it turns out that you have a cancer, there is a good chance that you’ll cure it because the medicine has much developed in the last couple of years. Good luck!
