i got the stapling procedure done and god thank technology! the pain was minimal. would not call it pain instead it was discomfort.. and im so glad i did it
I had it. They gave me a shot that lasted two days so I had absolutely no pain. I went grocery shopping on my way home from hospital! (Not recommended, as you can't lift) after the shot wore off, it was more itchy than painful. The worse part was the first poop. They packed me inside, and it had to come out. That hurt, but I just took another pain pill and went to sleep and I felt better in the morning. Just main thing, take lots of stool softners. Don't hold it in because it makes it worse. Just go when you feel.
Seriously. Get a grip! If you need surgery you need surgery. No 2 ppl are alike. I had surgery and didn't even miss a day of work.
Not going to lie like its painful. I had it and they haven't even gone so I'm going to have to get it done again. Joy.
I've had 3 kids naturally and the pain of my ass surgery beat all.

I had the surgery on Thursday and it is almost a week later.Still hurting in the bottom of stomach. And my a as****e fill's like a grinder has had a hold of it.I am taking 3 different pain medicine. But still hurts and if I had to do it again I would not do it.
I had surgery one week ago. I'm doing much better now. Off pain meds, some pain but tolerable, bowel movements have become less painful with time. (Due to healing and decreased swelling) Day 2-5 was the most pain I suffered. I think the experience is different for everyone depending on the severity of your case. What helped me....stool softener (colace)3X a day, pain meds, metamucil 1-2X a day, sitz baths especially after BM , lidocaine topical gel, and Balneol cleansing lotion. (Soothing). Good Luck
I had my surgery on the 16 may 2016 an was awake for my surgery. Was given a epidural an 3 hours after surgery I was walking around. I think the beat thing to do is get mobile asap. I had a lot of bleeding after surgery an now I'm only spotting. I had internal an external hemroids an was in some pain after ward. But now on day two I just have some discomfort. The quicker u up an about the quicker u recover. Good luck.

Hello I had my cirugy today and the pain goes from 4 to 7.5 depending of the dosis of killer pain that was administrated. I'll give you more information after.
maybe dont go for surgery coz it will not be able to get anal sex forever
no. no for surgery... i got 3x surgery and i can explain it
I think the banding method is much less painful than the old-fashioned surgery.
I had the banding on Friday during a colonoscopy. There was mild discomfort the rest of that day, but no pain at all by the second day.
Came here because I'm wondering how long to wait before anal sex.

I had the the Hemorrhoid removal surgery in 2014, I had five massive hemorrhoids due to childbirth. The pain was awful, the burning and itching I went threw was unbearable! I went to the hospital and they put sugar on my butt but it didn't help none, so I had the surgery. The pain is something I will never forget but I'm glad I did it!!! First they give you shots under the hemorrhoids to num you, you have to be num so the doctor can cut them off. I had five so it was like 12 shots under the hemorrhoids. The pain was so horrible, I was crying like a new born and sweating so bad like I was in a sauna. After the doctor cut each one off he then shot me up 10 more times with a sealer to close up the holes that was open. After I got home I was on a lot of medication and I was so scared to go to the bthroom. But I found out what will help you is every time to go the bathroom make sure you have a squeeze bottle with warm water and squeeze the water water on your butt, it helps a lot! Sometimes your going to feel like you just got to boo boo and you want to get in the bath and do it just use the warm bottle. After a month I was fine but I had a lot of digestive and constipation problems. If you get you some probiotics and stool softeners it will help tremendously. I'm glad I went threw all the pain I did because who wants to walk around for months with a itching, don't know if you fully clean, irritating, uncomfortable butt! The doctor told me I had the most massive hemorrhoids he has ever seen in his whole practice and he's been a doctor for over 40 years! So if I can do it you can do it to!
I've read all the replies about the surgery and let me tell you my own experience.
I've went to doctor cause I had an hemorrhoid that I could make it to put it back to its place until it grew bigger and it started feeling painful. I'm gay so I considered the surgery but not the traditional.
My doctor told me it was going to be easy with the banding technique but in the surgeon the doctors finally did the traditional surgery becasue they considered it was the best option.
It was really painfull the first month entirely. I took painkillers and some wounds healing creams after bm. Now there's been a year from the scalpel surgery and I've already had anal sex few times.
I feel like the scar inside makes the penetration a bit painfull for the top as well as me. And for some reasons tops are always hung and I bleeded couple times.
Recommendation, use always good lubs. And make it progressive in time.
