You know one of the basic aspects that separate animals from humans? We are able to think of the LONG TERM consequences.
It's not just about knowing what long term consequences are - it's also a matter of imagining the effects of these consequences. Have any of you guys considered the consequences of unprotected sex beyond pregnancy? What are you going to do if you get infected with STDs? It's far more common than most of you guys realize. I've heard that at UCSB about 1/4 of the girls have STDs. That's crazy. What would you do with a baby? You have to realize that pregnancy isn't just an issue between you or your partner - it involves the baby as well. I mean there are a plethora of issues to list... financially supporting the baby, emotional issues between families, the pain of giving birth, etc. I feel more sorry for the baby than a pair of careless teenagers.
After most girls end up getting pregnant, their boyfriends end up ditching them. True story, especially in High School.
