Please, give me some information how to deal with nightmares. My 4-year-old boy has serious bed time problems. He usually sleeps until 3 or 4 in the morning and then he wakes up, sometimes crying. He cannot explain what he had dreamt but we can see that was something frightening. How can we help him?
You must realize that your son is in sensitive age when a lot of things can have bad effects for his psychic state. There are many possible causes for his bed dreams, he maybe even saw something on TV that was not frightening at all (for you at least), but for him it was. Anyway, if something like that happened, there is no reason for panicking. These bed time problems should pass eventually. If they do not, I strongly recommend that you visit his doctor.
