I had the Novasure procedure done about 6.5 years ago. Minimal cramping and about a week of an uncomfortable feeling down below. Nothing too bad, just dull enough to notice. After about 4.5 years, I started with very light spotting and now it's been 6.5 years and today, I started my period. I was hoping it would last forever, but I had a good run. Was thinking of having the procedure done again, but without insurance, the cost in my area is $5,400.  It's less than a 5 minute procedure! I want to make that kind of money!

I had a great experience with this procedure. Only wish it would have lasted longer.

I just had TC last week, I have not had much discharge or bleeding, wondering if that's normal...I am not in any pain, my bp has been running higher than it usually does and I have no patience, lol...can't wait to see if this worked!

I had the Thermachoice endometrial ablation done, a month ago, and when I woke up in the recovery room, I was in the most severe pain of my life, and I had natural child birth, a tooth filled without novacaine, and other procedures done without numbing agents, but this was the worst pain I've ever experienced. I was given Dilaudid, and I was still in severe pain, but they couldn't give me more pain meds, because of my labored breathing. Everyone is different, and I believe everyone should also be aware of what they "May" experience. I chose the Thermachoice, due to stories I've read from other women, who are trying to get a class action lawsuit against Novasure. I also happen to have a larger uterus, and the dr told me that, after my ablation. Good thing I chose Thermachoice, instead of Novasure, for that reason, also. It's important that everyone be informed, before making a life changing decision. Studies have shown that women under the age of 40, have a 40.6% change of having a hysterectomy after ablation, so be informed. This isn't a "scare tactic" it's a thought tactic.

I had the ThermaChoice procedure don January 2015.  Since then I've had my period every month right on time.  Still heavy bleeding for two-three days along with cramps.  Can anyone tell me how long it took them before they stoped having periods and cramping.

How long did all of the discharge last ? I'm at the red/brown stage, tomorrow marks the 3rd week since the procedure. Should I be concerned?

.. and there is no doubt a rather insecure Novasure sales rep posted the previous post. The FDA recently approved the Minerva system which significantly outperforms all previously FDA approved endometrial ablation devices.

I had the thermo-ablation about a month ago and my sex drive is up as well as the energy from not leaking so much blood (and no dryness.)

Hilarious. I had an ablation about a month ago. I wondered the same thing. I read on the internet that the body absorbs the blood.

I don't think you can do this until your child bearing age has passed. I had it done 4 years ago. I was 52 years old.

Are you sure you are an OBGYN? You could use some help with your spelling.

I have acquaintances that had the LancaShire done with spectacular results! Myself included. I have a feeling your doctor may have messed up somewhere!
