I had the Novasure procedure done about 6.5 years ago. Minimal cramping and about a week of an uncomfortable feeling down below. Nothing too bad, just dull enough to notice. After about 4.5 years, I started with very light spotting and now it's been 6.5 years and today, I started my period. I was hoping it would last forever, but I had a good run. Was thinking of having the procedure done again, but without insurance, the cost in my area is $5,400. It's less than a 5 minute procedure! I want to make that kind of money!
I had a great experience with this procedure. Only wish it would have lasted longer.
I just had TC last week, I have not had much discharge or bleeding, wondering if that's normal...I am not in any pain, my bp has been running higher than it usually does and I have no patience, lol...can't wait to see if this worked!
I had the Thermachoice endometrial ablation done, a month ago, and when I woke up in the recovery room, I was in the most severe pain of my life, and I had natural child birth, a tooth filled without novacaine, and other procedures done without numbing agents, but this was the worst pain I've ever experienced. I was given Dilaudid, and I was still in severe pain, but they couldn't give me more pain meds, because of my labored breathing. Everyone is different, and I believe everyone should also be aware of what they "May" experience. I chose the Thermachoice, due to stories I've read from other women, who are trying to get a class action lawsuit against Novasure. I also happen to have a larger uterus, and the dr told me that, after my ablation. Good thing I chose Thermachoice, instead of Novasure, for that reason, also. It's important that everyone be informed, before making a life changing decision. Studies have shown that women under the age of 40, have a 40.6% change of having a hysterectomy after ablation, so be informed. This isn't a "scare tactic" it's a thought tactic.
I had the ThermaChoice procedure don January 2015. Since then I've had my period every month right on time. Still heavy bleeding for two-three days along with cramps. Can anyone tell me how long it took them before they stoped having periods and cramping.
I just had it done a week ago, could someone please inform me when will the discharge stop? My doctor said 7-10 days. I read a month -8 weeks??? I am getting scared and starting to panick that this will never stop and I had made a bad choice. Could someone please be honest with me! Thank you!
