Exactly the same. Just happened five minutes ago, and it's not the first time either... I'm so scared.

This has happened to me twice. The first time I had just smoked a cigarette outside, it was really cold out, and then I stepped inside to warm building. Right after I got inside got dizzy, lightheaded, and fainted. The EMS people said vaso-vascular reaction where not enough blood was getting to the brain. The second time was today I had just gotten a root canal, and I was actually pretty freaked out about the procedure so my heart rate was probably up. But I'd sat through the whole thing, it was over and I got up to go to the secretary desk to check out and started to feel sick, dizzy and my hearing got further away. Sat down for a minute or so, freaked out the receptionist, got up to go out to my car and after I got out the door totally blacked out. Couldn't see my car although I knew I'd just looked at it and it was like 5 feet infront of me. Somehow managed to grab the door handle after several tries, sat down inside for a few minutes with my head down, and eventually felt normal again. It was very strange because last time I'd just passed out but this time I was struggling to walk around without being able to see anything and I felt strangely weak and confused - it was really scary.

Seems like we all have some kind of similar thing where, possibly for different reasons, the brain gets deprived of blood and therefore oxygen. This makes sense to me. The really weird thing to me is that every post I read on here is from a young adult woman between like 14-30. I'm 25 and female btw. Anyway thanks everyone who posted, all of your responses really helped me. Now I just wish I knew a bit more about what causes this.

The same thing happened to me for the second time. I was standing outside with some friends and slowly felt my hearing go, then my eyesight. After about 15 seconds without any vision i completely blacked out and fell. I could thing clearly the whole time except fore when I actually fell. The first time I just lost vision and a little bit of hearing but I sat down and I was fine. I drink a lot of water and exercise frequently. 19/m

I experienced it today for the first time. I was keying in some customers' details into the computer when i suddenly felt like vomiting and was feeling really unwell. I thought that feeling would go away as quick as it came but i was wrong. My vision got poorer and my ear was starting to get blocked . After a few moments, i could not see anything even though i opened my eyes as wide as possible. I started to feel week and my dear co worker brought me to a chair. A few minutes later, i started to regain my sight as well as hearing. I saw in the mirror that my face was as white as a piece of paper and beads of sweat can be seen in my forehead. I was extremely shocked from this experience and i hope that i would not get to experience anything like that again. It really scared the hell out of me!

All the symptoms I read here are the exact same things that have happened to me. It's very embarrassing. I've had people accuse me of being on drugs and a woman try to fight me because she thought i was drunk. This has been happening to me for many years and doctors tell me the same thing. That nothing is wrong. I've had every type of blood test imaginable done, cat scans, MRI, you name it. I am 33 years old. I do not do drugs nor am I prescribed to anything other than my usual vitamins. I was told that I am a borderline anemic (low iron). Since then I take iron pills and this still happens to me. Only thing I can do is force my self to sit down even in the most awkward places and get someone, if I'm not alone to get me drink. It usually takes about 5-10 mins for me to feel better and be able to walk again with out it returning. I've searched for many years to find a solution and still nothing. Someone on here said sugar helps, I've noticed salty things have helped me and Gatorade.

I'm so happy to see that people have gone through the same thing as me. I'm a 13 year old female It just happend to me once so far. it only occurred this morning ( also I have been sick ) when I was on the train I was stansing and I got really dizzy And All of a sudden My eye sig wnet out my body temperature increased I was sweating I could hear much onlt mumbling. Finally I kept blinking and I could barley see an outline of a seat or something so I sat down hoping I didnt sit on anyone and luckily no one was sitting there. When I sat down I blink a lot of times and my vision finally came back to me. I was really scared and I didt know what to do. I'm more scared thinking it could happen again. I dont know what I should do. I told my friends and they said it was nothing and I should just wait and see if it happends again. I think I should visit my doctor to seen hats going on.

This morning while I was walking in to the kitchen my vision went white and fuzzy, and a loud ringing started in my ears. Seconds later I lost all hearing, and could barely walk. I sat down in a chair, and then started sweating like crazy. With my vision and hearing still out, I stumbled into the bathroom feeling like I was going to vomit, but I didn't. A month or so ago I was diagnosed with hypotension, but nothing this bad has ever happened. I'm not sure what kind of doctor I should go to, but we're all in this together!

This has happenes to me 3 times. Once when i was in second grade, then twice last year; My mother saids its probably because of not enough iron in my system.

This happened to me once in fourth grade, and i was waiting in the lines to go to our next class and i suddenly couldn't see and could barely hear and i just crumpled my body on the flop tilli could see again and that was it. Then it happened last year when i was at a sleepover and the bathroom had about 6 girls in it and 2 were straightening my hair and then i could barely hear or see so i just sorta pushed them away from my body anf say against the wall ti ll it stopped and it hhasn't happened since.

This happened when I broke my fast after a full fast (18 hours). I ate some things, and suddenly I saw blue patterns and my ears rang. I couldn't stand. It must have been dehydration because this has never happened before.

I'm a female, almost 13. I was just now in my room when I hear something that sounds like rattling beads. I was then wide awake, eyes wide open, but I couldn't see. I used my hands to pull at the skin below my eyes and got nothing. Everything, everything, was black, I can't remember whether I could hear or not. But anyways, I felt tingles all over my body and it went numb. I was talking to myself. First was "Oh god what's happening!" Then was "just relax and let yourself fall into it." I couldn't fall into it, the tingles slightly hurt and I felt tears I. My completely black eyes. Out of nowhere, all of my senses were back as if nothing happened, except I had extremely slow deep heavy breathing. I don't think I was breathing while the event happened. I was also shaking all over.
