I'm a 13 year old female and the exact same thing happened to me like 10 minutes ago. I went downstairs and my mom was rubbing my back. All of the sudden I felt nauseous then dizzy, then my sight turned blurry then black. My mom tried to tell me to sit down but I couldn't hear her. I was totally out of it. Next I started to shake and I layed down. About 1 minute after laying down my sight came back and I wasn't dizzy anymore. After 2 minutes I could hear again but, I didn't stop shaking until like 5 minutes after. Does anyone know what justhappened!?!?!?!

I get the same kind of spells from time to time. I will start by suddenly getting very nauseas, then I start getting tunnel vision, then everything goes dark for about a minute or two. My head usually hurts during this time though. I just had another episode the other day, but that one lasted a lot longer than usual. I was in the kitchen, and I actually had to call my boyfriend to come help me. I thought I was going to faint (because the last time I felt this way, I fainted). He walked me to the couch and sat me down. I think all in all, it lasted 4 or 5 minutes. Then I felt weird the rest of the day. I don't want to go to the Doctor if they are going to run a bunch of tests and then come up with nothing. You know what I mean? Maybe it is just low blood sugar...
This happened to me just this morning, and it is the first time I've actually blacked out, and lost complete function of my arms and legs. I had no motor control. It happens to me I've noticed on days where I haven't slept, plus probably not drinking enough water and not having anything to eat or not much to eat. It also seems to happen to me when I'm in the middle of crowds so maybe that has a factor for me. I am claustrophobic and the odd time motion sickness, and it's happened a number of times on the subway system or a bus - this morning it was a bus. I somehow blacked out a good junk of time because I remember feeling it oncoming by getting really hot that I instantly had sweat dripping everywhere and then I felt nauseated. I pushed the button to get off but the bus was so crowded that you could barely move and then I came to a while later realizing I was still on the bus thinking that the bus driver obviously didn't stop at the stop but he had to have stopped at it. Then I really noticed that everybody sounded like they were underwater and I sounded really far away. I lost my vision and felt my legs and arms just give out at the same time I asked a woman if I could have her seat because I wasn't feeling well. Somehow I was able to make it sitting down just in time otherwise I would've been on the ground. It was a horrible sensation.
I have passed out from this before. Twice actually. Once in a mall and the second time at a grocery store. A bit of water usually helps along with sitting down and then I'm okay after, but it's really scary when it happens. Today was the worst for it though, to feel my brain actually shut down different parts of my body at different times is not a feeling people should be accustomed too. I've been sleeping on and off this morning but my head just hurts all over and feels extremely heavy.
I guess make sure you have adequate sleep, food and water intake and if you get them when all of those three things are aligned then you know it is another problem. Go to your doctor of course and talk to him/her about it, and I hope these don't happen to you often.
I'm an athlete and had what I thought was heat stroke after a run during a heat wave - began with overwhelming fatigue and by the time I made it to a grocer (live in Manhattan so they're everywhere in walking distance) off the running path and was paying for electrolyte water and coconut water the hearing in one ear went, with ringing in the other. I barely understood the cashier when leaving.I tried fighting it off with breathing exercises and tried to not panick as my heart rate was also being effected - I walked outside and could not continue standing without my vision dissipating faster so after losing balance, hitting a post office drop off, fire hydrant and corner of a brick wall I leaned my back against the wall and squatted. This seemed to alleviate the growing symptoms fast.I tried getting up to move too quickly and had to sit, then squat, then lean then finally walk away.It is dyhydration, if you start to feel the symptoms do no panic - this will worsen them, try to regulate breathing to ensure enough oxygen intake then rest your body as in sitting or sqautting - I don't recommend going completely flat. I rarely have had this happen and never as severe as the other day but then again I have not been as routine in exposing myself to heat.Try electrolyte tabs from REI or some sporting goods stores in your water - I get sodium-free and eat salted natural foods instead to compensate for loss of sodium.
I have had pretty much the same exact thing! I am 16 years old by the way.. it just happened to me today and my mom thinks im a hypochondriac which is why i didn't mention it to her because she wouldn't bring me to the doctors anyway. But anyway, I was in the shower when suddenly I felt really nauseous. I thought it would just pass but then It started getting really bad. Then I started getting really really dizzy and started breathing like i was hyperventilating trying to get more oxygen to my brain but it didn't help.. I called to my boyfriend who was in the kitchen and he came in right before i was about to fall over. My vision got really blurry and I couldn't keep myself up. Then everything sounded very muffled. My boyfriend sat me down, didn't help he was freaking out too though. But after a while from sitting down, my sight came back and I heard a very high pitched noise then my hearing started coming back. It took about half an hour before i was back to normal. But right after i felt really shaky and weak.
Same thing has been happening to me since i was 14, happened again two days ago while i was at the salon, i'm 18 now. First and second time it happened, i fainted but it all went away a few minutes later. The doctor had told me earlier that i had a problem with anemia and prescribed OROFER, but i don't take it constantly. however, my latest results test negative for anemia.Usually when it happens, i mix malt with condensed milk or tin tomatoes (eeeewwwww) in equal amounts and drink and it all goes away. Mine is usually followed by weakness, but then a few minutes later, i'm as normal as ever. I don't really like to each that much, i'm not sure that has anything to do with it. My parents are worried that it could cause complications during childbirth. Somebody please help!
Last night I passed out twice. I was standing outside talking with my boyfriend and all of a sudden I got so light headed and I told my boyfriend I had to sit down and I put my head on his shoulder and leaned on him and that is the last thing I remember until not long after. He told me I passed out twice. When he was finally able to get me back inside and on the couch, I started to suddenly sweat like crazy and I had partial hearing loss for about 15-20 minutes. I also couldn't see properly.
wave comes over me then hearing goes, very light headed almost passing out. must sit down until it passes
