Hi everyone, well im a little freaked by your posts. I'm only 27 and I have to get the sling surgery, and I haven't even had kids yet. From what you all are saying this surgery does not sound like a good idea. Hysterectomy's and UTI's...I'm nervous now.  Any advice?

I had my op 10 days ago and i have never felt better , Going to the loo is a totally new experience now . I am glad I had it done , I researched my doc very carefully before i went and booked my appointment and i think its depends a lot on the doc you choose , Good luck with your op it wasnt half as bad as i thought it would be

AI am 8 days post op. I came home with a catheter for 48 hours. Removed it myself. Yes, the first week it was tough to go to the bathroom seems like it took forever. Slow stream and pain with some pressure. My doc gave me pills that turn your urine orange as well as another medication.
Taking the catheter out was no big deal. Everyday is better and better! No leakage! It's miracle.
Like others have said I would really research your doctor.
I had a retro pubic sling procedure. So happy I did this. I should have done it 10 years ago!

I had bladder sling surgery about a year ago. Had a lot of little problems, but I feel pretty good, except cramping down low, and a little pressure. Can a bladder being held up by a sling fall again?
