It is something called Fordyce angiokeratoma. Bleeding can be stop by laying on bed while holding pressure on the spot for 9 to 10 minutes. In that period if you ever release pressure to see how it goes, time would start running again and it can take longer. Peroxide can help to stop bleeding faster. Long term solutions to this problem are cryotherapy, electrocautery and laser.

Thanks for the info. I had just wrapped tp all around the works down there after I my fiance had me apply some ground seaweed which made a slippery scab. The tp was in case the scab slipped. Then, once I had free hands I googled it and found this. I'm now lying here while my fiance had her bath hoping its done with when she gets in here. Age 36

Same thing just happened - gushing everywhere. Wife went to the drug store and bought something called "Wound Care". It's a little tube of dark red powder/granulars that use the escaping blood to form a scab like seal. Use a lot and it two tries. So put a band aid over it once it stopped bleeding. So far so good.

I have had a very similar experience, for the second time in a span of a month. I intend to watch it more some more time, before allowing docs to take over my balls!

Man. I am so, well, relieved to see all this info. I was taking a leak at work this morning, finished (or thought I had finished, since I'm hittin' sixty and things aren't working as they used to) and walked away and felt liquid running down my leg. I just thought there must have been some urine left that I didn't "milk out". As I walked back to my office it just didn't feel right and I put my hand down my pants and came up with blood. Of course panic was the first reaction. So I headed back to the head, grabbed a stall, and saw lots of blood had gone down my leg. I cleaned myself as well as I could and applied toilet paper and stood there for a minute...toilet paper soaked through...grabbed more tp, lots more tp, and held it there, still soaked through...third time was the charm, the flow seemed to diminish. So I discarded that tp and loaded up with a big wad more, went back to my office and did my best just to remain at my desk, no walking around. It dried up. I need to go the the grocery after work, a half-mile walk, and wondered it it would start bleeding again, but it didn't. Got home, didn't shower that night...next morning showered (but not roughhousing the meat and two veg as I usually would) and everything was fine.
But, man! Thank you internet. I was thinking the worst.
By the way, got no drugs in me (legal or unlegal) but I do like my beer and my gin and tonics (a bit more than the two-drinks recommended) but nothing else going on!

when this happens just get some toiletpaper, bunch it up, and hold it to the wound and apply pressure. it will take from 30-70 minutes for it to close up.

Thanks for the reassurance.

This happened to me yesterday. I picked off what looked like an ingrown hair , but it was not. Bleeding would not stop. I used tissues held in place with a close pin (a bit painful), and it stopped , but once the close pin was off, it started again. I then used a styptic pencil. I applied a lot, and again used the close pin. finally got it to stop. The styptic seems to have done the trick.

This just happened to my husband. In the shower at 6 am and used this plastic scrubby to wash as he usually does. Looked down and saw a lot of blood. Could not get the blood to stop. Tried pinching area, pressure, etc. Got on Internet and found this to be common in older men. Nothing serious. What worked to get the blood to stop was to lie down with a pillow under his bottom raising up above heart and helps to reduce blood pressure. (put plastic trash bag and towel over it) and the bleeding stopped almost iimmediately.
