I had this problem this morning just after shower. Lying down for ten minutes with the skin pinched between fingers helped. I did this only after trying other things unsuccessfully for about an hour. Hope this helps.

Details: I probably wiped hard or accidentally scratched with some sharp nail. I first noticed this problem due to a drop of blood on the floor. It took me a while and a thorough inspection of my body to find out that it was my indeed my blood and where it came from. There was no pain anywhere. There seems to have been a small cut in the skin. The bleeding was quite steady but slow. The blood was deep red and seemed quite fresh.

I tried washing with hot water, cold water, pinching and holding the skin for a while etc. Nothing helped. I couldn’t use compression to stem the bleeding as there was no solid bone to provide the back-support as we would expect with other body parts.

Finally had to ask my wife who suggested ice. It seemed to help after two minutes but the bleeding resumed after the chillness wore off. Repeated icing for longer duration a few more times. No relief.

Finally, after reading this website, lied down and held the skin pinched between my thumb and forefinger. This helped after about 10 minutes.

Thank you to whoever provided the lying down suggestion.

Hope this information helps others.

https://www.steadyhealth.com/topics/testicle-sac-bleeding?page=2 search for the reply from dougmckeel. That's the most likely explanation. Happened to me this morning as I was getting ready for work and it freaked me out at first.

Man I was freaking out !! when I notice my nuts were bleeding and it even worst cause im on blood thinner medication. So apllied pressure for about 20 min and it didnt want to stop. Im on my third wash cloth, didnt want to go the hospital ( to embarrassed ). So I googled it and read this site. I thought my nuts was going to fall off or something ....lol.... So after reading I did exactly what it explain to do. But I also remembered when I was in boy scouts as a kid. We used to use crazy glue for small little cuts to stop the bleeding. So yes !! I did, I stretched it out till it did not bleed then I applied a small dab on to the bleeding area waited 4min. Then it stopped.

Dude, just had this issue three weeks ago. Put a band-aid on it for a week and took it off and the bleeding had stopped but leaving a black mark. After another week, I think I carelessly wiping it with my towel after shower and it started bleeding again, did the same thing (putting a band-aid) for four days and just took it off again today. I'm still afraid that the bleeding will never stop :(

I've had this happen several times and yes it can be very scary the first time. It freaked me out so the first time I went to the ER cause I could not get the bleeding to stop. And to make matters worst, I am on blood thinners. This will sound crazy but what works for me every time is crazy glue. It is the same ingredients that are in liquid Band-Aids. My friend is a ER doctor and told me it's perfectly fine to use Krazy Glue to stop bleeding from a cut or a nick. I just wipe area clean apply pressure to hold back the bleeding and put a drop of crazy glue on the nicked area and give it about it 10 minutes until I take the pressure off. Works and stops the bleeding every time
Over the course of a few days the glue will dissolve from showering. also works great for cuts on the fingers and paper cuts stops the pain right away.

I'm certain the cat stepped on them... My fiance had me put a teebag on it, worked perfectly.

I agree with you, I don’t think it is serious.
Since I started using moisturizer cream on the scrotum after shower the bleeding occurs seldom now probably once every 3 to 4 months and stops after 5 to 10 min. I also finish shower with cold water for a minute or two. This helps too. It has to do probably with the soap it makes the skin weak and then breaks. I still see dark brown spots on my scrotum and I think this is the cause of the bleeding.

Im 18 and have some black spots in my scrotum. One time I picked one and all that came out was plasma, so i thought it was harmless... Till 2 hours ago when I picked abother one, and the microscopic hole started gushing blood... In the rate of 1 blood drop per second!

Right now im laying down with my bottom proped up on a pillow. I have gotten a tissue, folder it up, wrapped around area and placed a clothes pin/holder/hanger thing to pinch it. Hope the bleeding stops
(Had the clothes pin on there for like 30 minutes while sitting, as soon as i removed the pin the blood resumed)...

I know it sounds crazy but crazy glue can stop a bleeder too. You just need to be careful so you don’t make a mess. It is glue.

Was playing with my nuts and popped one of them dark spots. I propped my waist up in bed, used a stypic, black pepper, gauze, ice, pinching it... took over an hour but it stopped. Thought I was dying. This forum helped a lot.
