Apparently its a common occurence. 10 minutes plus bleed for me. Didn't scare me, I'm in the medical field. Pressure didn't work, neither did ice. I had an appointment needed to go so I used a dab of superglue. Took a couple of tries. Angiokeratoma...Google it... knowledge is everything

Damn! It just happened for the first time to me guys! Blood EVERYWHERE after I scratched an itch. I initially found blood on my finger, then all over my hand when I rechecked. It bled continuously for around fifteen minutes, out of a pin prick sized hole.I don`t know how many tissues I used. (Blood all over the vanity in the bathroom). Finger pressure didn`t work, so having had enough, I decided to apply a very cool cloth that had been drenched with cold water, and just let my nuts lay gently in it while I sat on a towel on a chair, It stopped almost immediately! It sure did concern me. I hope this assists anyone experiencing the same thing.

This has got to be a joke right? There is no way your being serious and if you are serious you have serious issues and need help

Just happened to me too. Very nerve racking. I was shaving my balls cause the old lady told me she was feelin freaky. I saw a black spot I thought was an ingrown hair so I squeezed. Blood squirted out and continued to run out of the tiny hole. Jumping in the hot shower was a bad idea and only escalated the problem. But I figured it would stop soon and wanted to get clean for some sex. It continued to run down my leg. When my old lady heard me saying "sh*t!" In the shower she ran in too check on me. She started bursting out laughing saying it looked like I was on my period. Panicking I applied pressure for twenty minutes with piece of toilet paper with no luck. I switched to paper towels and held pressure on it for another ten minutes to no evail. Fearing I would bleed to death and have a very embarrassing obituary I doused with superglue. The first time the glue hardened then fell off and my balls continued to bleed. Try number two was successful however now I have a patch on my right nut that feels like sandpaper from the dry glue, hopefully it won't lead to increased chaffing. Moral of the story skip the pressure go with the glue.

Hey Doc is it uncommon for this to happen to young adult men?

Guys, I've had these little veins pop and bleed twice. The second time I recognized it from my first experience. I held a big wad of paper towels on it with pressure. After it stopped I used "liquid bandaids" (actually a special mixture of super glue). this allowed me to walk and work, etc. The glue holds for a couple of days. I use a round mirror to get a good look at it. Try the liquid bandage stuff.

OK... just got mine to stop bleeding. Here's what to do: Get a box of tissues by your side, have a seat, and relax. Get the area that's bleeding clean by using a wet or damp tissue if you need to. Pat dry. Scrotum will be bleeding quite a bit at this point but with a clean, dry tissue place rolled up tissue over bleeding area and press against it lightly with your four fingers. Place your thumb over nearby skin against the back side of the bleeding area as if "pinching" the area. Not too hard! As long as you are stopping the blood flow from that area. Keep steady pressure on for five minutes. Remove tissue slowly, check to remember size of bloody area on tissue and repeat with a clean tissue. After 5 min. remove tissue slowly. Keep doing this 4 or 5 times. As long as there is less and less blood on each tissue you are getting there. When you think you're just about there, hold the last tissue on for 10 min. and you should be all set.

I was once told ordinary black table pepper will instantly stop bleeding from shaving cuts. It also works on scrotum bleeds. Some how I managed to get a bad blood blister on my scrotum that needed to be popped. Pepper stopped the bleed there as well.

Amazed but somewhat reassured to see that what I just lived over the course of the last hour or so has been experienced by a significant amount of others. Stepped out of the shower and as I towel dried saw an increasing number of blood stains on my towel: looked everywhere except the scrotum for the culprit only to discover in the end that a slight tissue abrasion was the source of all that blood...unbelievable ! Got it stopped after an hour or so by laying in bed flat on my back and my wife placing a cold ( not ice ) compress on the affected area approx. three times over a 20-25 minute period. The first compress did the job, no blood being noticed on removal, and the other two for good measure also. Did not rub the coagulated blood area: stuck a dry, clean piece of undershirt from a new one we cut up specifically for this job...smooth,cottony surface.no pile.
Now am sitting down for supper in my Lazy boy chair with no new blood let yet...fingers crossed as we await to see the impact of some activity.
Hope this is helpful: all of your posts sure were. Thank you.

Had this happen yesterday. Took a shower and was standing at the sink when dark drips of blood starting dripping on the floor. I would consider myself a manly outdoorsman, but for some reason seeing blood and not knowing the culprit made me weak. I grabbed some tissue and held it up against my balls before opening the bath door, calling my wife, then passing out. Freaked her out, gave me a knot on my head from the fall, and lost a notch on my pride meter. Seems to be just a small spot like a mole. No more bleeding after 20 minutes. I was worried, before passing out, that I might be hauled off like Ben Stiller in Something about Mary (the movie)" We have a bleeder"

I walked in on my husband coming out of the shower. The towel was bloody. I was so scared and teared up. He couldn't stop the bleeding. He said there was no itch, blister or anything. He simply showered & was drying himself when he noticed the blood on the towel. I had him lie down (which helped with bleeding). I applied a thick, thick layer of a French-made ointment called Homeoplasmine, which is similar to our Vaseline but it's a remedy for any skin problems. I then placed a cotton pad and then placed a large bandage. I had him wear a "tighter" underwear to keep the bandage in place and apply some pressure. We checked after an hour, and the bleeding had stopped completely. We were both scared.

So, this burns like hell for a minute, but it works. Liquid bandage! Pressure for about a half an hour didn't do it but liquid bandage stopped it almost instantly. Also helps by putting a piece of ice on the spot for a minute or so to shrink the opening.
