Just to update you all, I did have a miscarriage. It was never confirmed that a fetus would have grown or was growing. My next ultrasound was scheduled for August 29th, but I miscarried the week before that. The miscarriage was definitely a process; I thought it would be pretty much a one day thing if it did happen, but it took a whole work week. It lasted from the 19th to the 24th. I never had just one day that I was in the worse pain and saw the most tissue. I think the day before the bleeding and pain started to let up, I had really bad cramps and bigger pieces of tissue. I felt like such a baby, but I took off that whole work week off. I tried to go to work the 4th day. I do a lot of walking at work, and by the 2nd hour, I could barely stand. The walking made the cramps and lower abdominal pain worse. I ended up leaving early. I am happy to say I did not need surgery to remove the rest of the tissue, so that was good. I am now so worried about trying any birth control since I had a copper IUD and still got pregnant, and I am convinced that all of the complications happened because I got pregnant with an IUD. I have never liked birth control that involves hormones, and that's why I had the copper IUD (the Paraguard). And I still don't trust it had no hormones. I feel so much better without the IUD and have been able to keep off the 15 lbs I gained and couldn't lose since my 2nd child. My emotions feel more manageable, and I feel less grouchy and moody. Am I rambling now lol? Well, I wanted to update you all. I feel good now. I may end up pregnant again, but I am fine with the potential blessing and pray I never have to go through another miscarriage again. I would get my tubes tied after having a 3rd baby (that would be my choice of birth control I think). I don't feel right getting my tubes tied now with only two children and at the age of 29, though.... Okay, Ladies, thanks for letting me share and for your support and concern!

%-)HI, I was 2 days late with my periods, and on the second day, I had spotting, very brownish and not the same as my normal periods. I told myself it could be the implanting bleeding just to spot worring. The spotting stopped after 3 day. I am still having some cramps, almost like periods but a lot more painfull. I never missed a period before, or never late with my periods before. so when my periods was late, I started to get excited and everything. I really hope to be pregnant buit is afrait to do a Preg test because the previous once I did, (Before my periods was due), come out negative and that killed my. And now was late, and then the spotting and the cramps. The spotting ended yesterday, so I dont know when to take a test. Or if I am pregnant? Is this happing to some of you? Please help, do you think I am preggies or not?

Hi snuffs, im so glad I read your post because i am having the exact same problems and have been for my entire pregnancy, in which I am 12 weeks. My midwife instructed me to be on complete pelvic rest and i have been for 12 weeks. I am concerned about my baby because this is my first pregnancy but, at the same time relieved after reading your story. My apt isnt until 10/3 and i wonder if i will spot my entire pregnancy or have yours completely stopped?

Kingswifey - My bleeding stopped after the gushes of blood came out, which had to of been around 12 to 13 weeks. My doctor never seemed worried about it, but I'm guessing it probably happens to quite a few of his patients with no bad results, and there is no use in worrying someone when everything could turn out ok. The only cause he had was that it was possibly from having intercourse, and told me to try not to until the 3rd trimester. That was at my appointment right after the gushes of blood happened. I refrained for 2 weeks, but when we did again, I never bled again anyways. I still think I had a blood clot (subchorionic hematoma) that came all the way out when the gushes of blood happened, but since my ultrasound was after that, I will never know. Good luck with your pregnancy. I hope everything works out for you! I know it can be scary, and I spent a few nights staying up, researching and crying about it. I didn't let myself get excited about the baby until after I knew everything was o.k.

Thanx snuffles for the immediate response. The thing is i stand at work so i wondered if that played a role? But ultimately after reading your post i have been at ease. I also pray a lot so i know everything will be okay. I appreciate your concern and i hope you and your baby are and will be fine as well.

Hi all, I'm 8 weeks pregnant today with my first baby and have been bleeding for the past 5 days. It started off a light brown colour and only when I wiped and has since gotten a little heavier and is red. I went to see my doctor yesterday who said that bleeding ocrrs in around 25% of pregnacies in the first 3 months resulting in a healthy baby. He said bleeding may also be caused by reasons unrelated to pregnancy like, trauma or tears to the vaginal wall may bleed, and some infections may cause bleeding. I am booked in for a scan on Monday and have been told to try and relax and not think about it (easier said than done). I have had a few mild pains in the left of my stomach but nothing major and only a few times in one day. I more worried that my blood has turned red as I have read this is a bad sign. My mam says that a few of her friends bleed in their first trimester, my boyfriend mother bled with him and my friends friend had her period all thorugh her pregnancy. I hope everything is okay but I've just got this feeling that I have misscarried. Any thoughts?? :'(

Just putting this out in the virtual universe to hopefully inspire some hopeful thoughts. I had the early pregnancy panic trifecta. First, no symptoms, natta, no nausea, no fatigue, nothing. Second, spotting, not just brown spotting but bright red spotting that appeared starting around week five (three weeks pregnant) along with slight cramping. This lasted over a week. Lastly, they did an transv. U/S when I was 5 weeks and 4 days. There was a sac but no baby, no heartbeat. I was heartbroken. I thought for sure it was a blighted ovum. I am 7 weeks today and went for another U/S four days ago at 6weeks 3 days. The baby is right on track with in size and a healthy heartbeat! This is my second pregnancy and I had no spotting or cramping with my first, although that was 12 years ago! I remember searching the net for people in my situation to try and find hope so I am passing this along. Although I am not out of the "woods" yet, I have stopped spotting and I know everything is progressing normally. Hang in there if this is happening to you. My doctors says often U/S before 6.5 weeks can't pick up that tiny baby! Good luck ladies.

I am seven weeks pregnant with my fourth child and I am spotting light brown and sometimes red. I had surgery after having my last baby and my doc popped a hole in my uterus! I am cramping really bad I have had a ultrasound and my hormone level checked and they said everything seemed to be ok!! My doctor will not see me until I'm ten weeks does anyone think because the hole in my uterus could make me miscarry? I need some feed back anything helps thank you.

Im on my second pregnancy.. With my first one  I only had two little spots when I was 7.5wks after that I we thought everything was good till I hit 37wks and our little boy heart stopped with no reason for the cause. After 4 months after that loss I found out I was pregnant with baby # 2. We are now 9wks and I have been having bleeding and clotting  with cramping too all week. I went to my doctor the first full day after the bleeding and cramping started. She did an Ultrasound and the baby heart beat was strong. I have bed in bed since Wednesday. the bleeding  now happens after I pee.. should I worried that this little ones heart will stop too??vi

I am pregnant with my 4th child. I lost my first one as a steal born. With this one i had a cyst burst that was on my overy. I am spotting brown normally. I went last week for a ultrasound and the baby had a heart beat of 120. This morning i started spotting a redish brown. And i am having very bad cramps in my lower back and on my left side. I am wondering if this is from where the cyst busted and whats left of the blood is trying to come out. When i went to use the bathroom this morning i seen there was a little faint blood in the tolit water. So now i am waiting on ask-a-nurse to call me back. I am worried.

You can try not having sex and see if it stops. It can definitely not mean anything, and I wouldn't worry too much for now.  It's pretty common, although scary.  All you can do is take it easy and not do or lift too much, to play it safe. I bled for the first 3 months or so, bright red, pink, brown, gushes of blood... and now I have a healthy 8 week old.  Hang in there!
