Unfortunately I have them too. I've done a lot of research, I suggest everyone looks up Pemphigus. It's the closet diagnosis I've come across.
Hope that helps.

I have been dealing with this problem for about 5 years now and I'm 26. I first noticed it on my feet. Ths side of my toes, between my toes and then once in a while on the bottom! They itched a lot and when I would get them on the bottom it would feel like it needed to be popped because of the pressure. As described in previous posts, when popped, sticky clear liquid comes out. It doesn't really hurt to pop them, almost feels relieving because they seem to itch less after popped. I don't get them on my feet anymore but it now shows up on the sides of my fingers.

I also had it on my chin for a while and that was extremely embarrasing but fortunately it didn't last long there. My first diagnosis was ringworm. After being treated with anti-fungus both orally and topically there was no improvement. (and it was never in a ring shape!) The bumps would come and go with no pattern that I've noticed. Then they said I had an allergy to the sun because they seem to show up in the beginning of summer mostly. That was BS.

I started to take probiotics for digestive issues and since then I have seen much improvement. I take "Garden of Life:Primal Defense" This includes acidophilus which I read can help stabilize yeast levels. I am no expert but I have tried every cream, pill, remedy under the sun. When I used these pills daily the problem disappeared for at least a year. Unfortunately, these pills are expensive and when I stopped taking them the bumps did come back with very minor cases (just maybe 4 pinheads on the side of a finger) I can't say this is a cure but perhaps there is something else in these pills that is helping too. It's worth a shot if you are really suffering. I do believe the bumps I get have to do with yeast imbalances. My dad has problems with bumps on his head that pop and have a clear liquid, I don't think this is related but thought I'd throw that in there. Sorry so long, just thought I'd share my personal experience and hope to help someone else.

Mine is the same usually at the joints of my fingers, between the fingers, small pin sized blisters that itch.

definitely not hundreds probably no more than 10 per side of the finger. I've been getting them for years, and through trial and error I found the best cure for me at least is to pop them with a clean needle or pin, then right away wash my hands with antibacterial soap. or hydrogen peroxide, or rubbing alcohol, hand sanitizer etc. If not cleaned after popping I do find the liquid from the bubbles is infectious and can cause more bumps, usually on the finger touching the infected area. If i leave them and do nothing, or just covering them they seem to multiply but I don't know if they would reach hundreds, they're itchy and popping them works so i don't do wait to see what will happen anymore.

I've never had them spread to my palm, or feet or anywhere else on my body. popping and cleaning it leads to a scab, never to a reformed blister, maybe another nearby may forms but not on the scab.

I do get them more in the summer than any other time, might be stress related. maybe allergic to something that I'm touching outside in the summer?

I don't like the diagnosis of Dyshidrotic Eczema because it doesn't get red and cracked and scaled skin and i don't get it anywhere but on the fingers. Otherwise the initial stages pictures of that look right. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Dyshidrosis.JPG at least the smaller bumps in the picture.

Hello all,

I've read through many of your comments because I currently have the same infection on my left index finger. The condition which I believe many of you suffer from (myself included) is a viral infection known as Herpetic Whitlow, a member of the Herpes family. The Herpes Simplex virus infects the vast majority of the human race globally, and most of us undergo our primary infection as children, after a parent or relative kisses us, shares a drink, etc. The virus, which exhibits no symptoms in 80-90% of people, is latent and remains in the trigeminal ganglion (nerve cluster) behind your ears. From there it will sporadically attempt to replicate itself through a phenomena known as viral shedding, releasing copies of itself through your saliva/mucous membranes. 60% of herpetic whitlow cases are the product of HSV-1, and often occur in children or anyone who bites nails, broken cuticle, and then sucks on that finger, auto-inoculating yourself in that area. your body already most likely has antibodies which identify the virus trying to replicate, and your body will attempt to destroy this infection. Herpetic whitlow is self-limiting, usually localized to one area, and typically resolves itself in about 4 weeks, although this can be extremely painful. symptoms include pinprick watery dots beneth the skin (vessicles), which subsequently cluster into a blister. This is usually accompanied by itching, as the herpes virus moves along your nerves and their axons. Because it is the herpes virus (and has no known cure) the blisters will generally recur in 50% of patients, although symptoms will not be as severe as the first infection. HOWEVER...the greatest danger this condition poses is its ability to spread to others or to another part of your body while the infection is in the itching (prodromal) stage, through to its complete tissue restoration. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TOUCH YOUR EYES WHILE THE INFECTION IS PRESENT. The virus may spread into the membranes of your eyes, enter through the cornea, and cause herpes of the eye. OCULAR HERPES IS THE #1 LEADING CAUSE OF BLINDNESS IN THE UNITED STATES. Also, This is not a bacterial infection which is typified by white (not clear) pus weeping from the sore (although if not properly cared for secondary bacterial infection may result). DO NOT LANCE OR POP OPEN THE HERPES VIRAL BLISTER- THIS WILL RESULT IN DELAYED HEALING, LIKELY FURTHER TISSUE INFECTION, OR POSSIBLE COMPLICATION THROUGH HERPES ENCEPHALITIS, WHICH INFECTS THE 3 MENINGES (LAYERS) SURROUNDING THE BRAIN. This condition is treatable, but potentially serious. I am not a medical practitioner of any kind, but if you believe any of these symptoms is resembles your condition, you should seek resolution with a preferred medical physician.

I totally have EXACTLY what you are describing. I find it hard to believe that I have eczema because no one in my family has ever had it, nor have I ever had any skin issues. These tiny, bumpy blister-like bumps showed up about two weeks ago. My husband has all kinds of skin issues so I asked him what he thought and he told me to put Tinactin on it. So I did. It dried the bumps up and in two days they were all gone. Unfortunately, they came back a few days later, on many more fingers. I tried to think of what I could have done to bring them back and it hit me that I had purchased a new hand lotion. Usually I use Vaseline Intensive Care, but I tried Endless Glove Dry Hand Cream and Body Butter. I started using these products right before this strange breakout. After the Tinactin I stopped using any lotion for a few days, and as soon as I tried it again, they came back. I am convinced that one of these two products brought it on. Obviously I am going to stop using them. :)

My symptoms:

Bumps

Teeny-tiny blisters that barely lift up the skin and have dot in center where liquid is

When popped, clear liquid came out, not noticeably smelly or unlike water

Only 5-10 show up per finger, located between the second and third knuckle by the web of the finger on the side.

NOT red unless I have messed with them

Not itchy, although I think they itched a little bit when they popped up, but not now, not continuously.

I don't know if it was the Tinactin that cleared them up the first time, or the fact that I stopped using the lotion. I realized that lotion connection last night, didn't put it on (I usually use in the am and pm) but I forgot to put Tinactin on and I see many less bumps today. Many of the pics did not match my symptoms but the following did:

the pic with the single finger

The middle pic with 3 fingers

These pics are more severe than what I have, but were the closest I could find.

I get itchy clear blisters on my fingers and sometimes my palms. I went crazy going to different doctors who told me very scary things, then a dermatologist told me it was just an allergic reaction and I should note what I do before I get them. I noticed that I was cutting garlic, red garlic in particular, which makes sense since I mostly get the bumps on my left hand (the hand I hold the garlic with). My hand even smells like garlic when I have the bumps. The bumps last about 10 days too and they go away by themselves, by drying up and turning white, sometimes scarring for a period of time, and they are hard to pop (I don't recommend trying and there is no need to). I suggest you think about garlic allergies, they can cause other symptoms like hives and upset stomach, which I have noticed also.

I get this, too! Mine are on my fingers on my right hand. I have had them on my left big toe for several years now, and they seem to break out when my skin is really dry. I guess it is that dyhidrotic eczema stuff.

I get these and my daughter does as well. It is eczema in our particular case, brought on because I suffer from sweaty palms and she sucks her left thumb (the only spot that it appears on her). My advice is to limit the amount of times that you get your hands wet. Baby powder can help to dry things up a bit, although overusing it will probably cause another reaction.

my husband has similar symptoms as what everyone is describing. to me, it looks like herpes virus, the same virus that causes cold sores/fever blisters. herpes can present on the mouth, eye, genitals, or finger. I think there are also reported cases of it being in the throat and gums. I gave him a valtrex pill and some zovirax cream, so we will see if that does anything...

as a follow up to my valtrex and zovirax experiment, my husband's blisters are now gone, and the skin is healing. this may be coincidence, or due to the meds.

After reading through hundreds of posts in the past few days, I can relate the most to the one listed above. About 5 days ago while looking at my fingernails I noticed very small (the size of a pin head) blisterlike areas that appear in clusters (usually totaling 5-10 blisters) around my fingertips. After further inspection of all fingers I noticed that this was showing on all fingers with the exception of my thumbs. Out of curiousity I have popped a couple of these and also see a clear watery liquid that comes out, but I am not sure how long they will last if unpopped since this is the first time I'm seeing them. These blisters are NOT at all itchy, do NOT look anything like some of the blisters I have seen in the clickable links, and are NOT red or yellowish. Honestly if I was to try and take a pic of my own fingers and post it, you probably wouldnt even be able to see them. My worry is that will these clusters continue to grow and turn into some of the other blister problems that I have been reading about?

Little history: I'm a 26yr old male who does have a stressful job (although not overwhelming) and have never had anything like this. However I do commute throughout the NYC subway system daily and could definitely see a fungus being picked up rather easily.

It just so happens that I was looking at my fingernails because it appears that I have a fungal infection where the tips of my nails slowly turn more and more white (from the tip to the cuticle). Over the past two weeks with this fingernail problem, the tips of my fingernails have begun to seperate from the nailbed.

My stepfather is a doctor and believes that the fingernail problem I have is fungal, but just to be sure he has referred me to a friend of his that is a dermatologist. Unfortunately soon after visiting home, these small blisters appeared around the fingertips and he was not able to give a quick visual diagnosis on them (but verbally believes that they must be related). Since I am just seeing these for the first time, I have made an appointment with this dermatologist for next week and fortunately will ask about both. It seems as though most people are getting completely different diagnosis' from all of the appointment details that have been posted. Hopefully I can help clear up the air after my appt. I just hope that all of this activity on my fingers will remain inactive and does not spread until I see the doctor.

The worst part about everything is not know what to and what not to do...Am I to pop them? Or not pop them? Am I to apply creams? Should I be trying to dry them out?

If anyone has any further ideas about measures that I should take until the appt, please let me know.

Dear Readers,
I am a physician (no joke) who also experienced the same symptoms of tiny blisters on my fingers and the palm of my hand. It was an acute onset the suddenly spread from the tip of my thumb to the rest of my hand and surprisingly nowhere else (duration of 2.5 months). Terrible itching spells and skin peeling for which i applied simple OTC hydrocortisone had provided some relief. I retraced all my steps to when it could have possibly begun. I recently moved from one office to another. With a shift of office and a new environment, came new habits, which I did not have before. Long story short, I was never a COFFEE drinker to begin with and I started drink a lot coffee (GREEN MOUNTAIN COFFEE brand - not sure if brand matters) after moving into this new office. I also started using a new brand hand sanitizer and also a new moisturizer available at the office. After 2.5 months of suffering, I decided to do the most natural thing possible - I took all three items (including any other sources of caffeine) out my daily regimen. WITHIN A WEEK, MY HANDS WERE COMPLETELY BLISTER FREE. After which I slowly tried to reintroduce things, first being the new moisturizer - nothing happened, no blisters. The hand sanitizer didn't do anything either, other than make my hands very dry again, even with the moisturizer. At last, when I added COFFEE back into my diet, it slowly started to creep back - starting with my fingertips.

My recommendation to all those who suffer from these tiny blister-like symptoms is to STAY AWAY FROM COFFEE, CAFFIENE AND HAND SANITIZER (wash thoroughly and more frequently instead). At least for a few weeks and see what happens? I can understand that it’s a terribly hard habit to stay away from, but for the sake of your discomfort/suffering, it's worth a shot. I switched to hot chocolate. I have been blister-free for over a month now. My hand are almost completely back to normal (no blisters or itching, still a little dry but much better than before).

We can't always explain why certain things like this happen. Our diets and lifestyle play a significant role in the etiology of problem such as this. Retrace your steps and life changes. Be sure to visit your primary doctor and dermatologist, and of course STAY AWAY FROM COFFEE, CAFFIENE AND HAND SANITIZER (wash thoroughly and more frequently instead) in the meanwhile.

Best wishes!

I'm not sure what this sh*t is neither! However, I do remember a girl I dated having it all over her fingers. We only dated a few weeks, only saw her a few times, but I f***ing know this wonderful acne-like hand epidemic came from her!! I hope you read this and die b*tch!! Anyway, I'm leaning towards this being a form of scumbagilleria and I don't know how to cure it.. Anyway, I only get a fewww here and there. It use to pop up on the insides of my middle finger to ring and ring to pinky on both hands. Now, it rarely shows up, but one finger will flare up once in awhile with only a few, but enough to p**s me off and oh, read other examples and write this!! Through all this ranting and raving. It's really not a big deal because I have been using this MAX-STRENGTH Cortizone-10 plus product I got at walgreens for the past year. It clears up the mess usually within a day or two AND like I said, It has limited the number of break outs. So, Life is good! Eh uhm, better... Haha! Who cares? and yes, I like to use conjunctions when beginning my sentences.. Well, today anyway! Hope this helps ya'lls!!
