I had a stricture most of my adult life. i had to self cath daily. A few years ago, my urologist performed a procedure. He took a buckle from my cheek and made a tube out of it. He then cut out the scar tissue and replace it with this tube. That didn't take, so he replaced that with skin from around my penis (made another tube). worked great. No more self cath. Hope this helps.
