Ive just discovered tiny red blisters on my scrotum.
I'm a keen cyclist so the combination of lycra, heat and movement I guess have all contributed to this recent ailment.

Yes, AIDS!!! Your son is going to die. Come on, use your brain. First, what 37 year old son/man would let his father look at his man parts.... and second, what father would want to look at his 37 year old sons' manly parts????
What everyone in this forum is seeing, is a buildup of blood pockets forming along blood vessels just under the surface of the scrotum. This is NORMAL and gets more noticeable as you age and/or when you shave your pubic hair and can see the bare skin. If your 37 year old son is worried now, wait until he turns 60, ha! OK, all joking aside (I'm having too much fun). Aside from visual unpleasantries, this is harmless and no action is needed. I've seen hundreds of old penis & balls (don't ask, just trust me) and as you age, the more blood bumps will form, due to the change in skin elasticity and such. Many men, such as I, completely shave all pubic hair and notice the blood bumps (think of them as a blood pimple) on their balls. The razor often slices these little buggers off, and I'm bleeding for an hour or more.
NOTE: The white pimple bump on your balls are different... and are simple little cysts (or actually a pimple within a hair follicle) and can be squeezed like a pimple, BUT hurts like a b!tch because the skin surface must be breached to drain the hard white waxy material. Poke skin with a clean needle to breach the skin and squeeze the white waxy cyst from under the bump (your squeezing from under and forcing the c**p up & out of the pin hole). It's best to pull the scrotum skin tight, using both hands and squeezing using your thumbs. It takes a bit of practice, trust me. You'll know if your a real man, cuz this really hurts! Best to numb the spot using that toothache cream/stuff, wait a few minutes.... or drink lots of alcohol to numb ALL pain. You'll have a bump/sore for a few days but the bump will not come back to that same spot. Be sure to squeeze all cyst material out, don't be shy and use blunt force to SQUEEZE hard. You may actually rip off the surface of the skin, above the bump where you made the pin hole. This is why this procedure hurts, but you'll heal without scaring. There is very little blood loss, compared to the following steps to rid those blood bumps.
OK, getting back to that blood bump. If your like me and want to get rid of the annoyance and unpleasantries of the blood bump, pick a time of day when you have lots of time (upwards of 4 hours). There will be lots of blood, so be prepared and don't worry about running out, as your sitting pinching your wounded balls. First, your scrotum has many surface blood vessels running all over the place, so don't think your severing a major artery or causing your balls any harm. Second, everyone is different with blood clotting and if you tend to bleed easier, you may want to use surfer powder to help clot the blood, or sit a bit longer while watching a second movie on TV. This hurts too, but not as much as squeezing a cyst.
Blood bumps will "pop" when squeezed, so don't poke them with a needle because you'll get a lot of blood getting in the way and you'll loose sight of the area to which you'll be needing to pinch. The scrotum skin should be pulled tight with both hands and your two thumbs used to "pop" the bump from under & both sides. This is best done in the shower because blood will spray out (like that big ole ripe pimple, you used to get in your teens). The theory of this procedure is to cauterize the blood vessels on both sides of the bump, eliminating the part of the vessel that has ballooned. This will eliminate the awful looking bump and after a few days, you will not notice any effects of what you have done. So, as mentioned pull tight the skin around the blood bump (this helps protrude the blood bump) with both hands, position your thumbs on each side of the bump and ensure you are "rolling" the blood bump from deep within/under the skin up ontop of your thumb nails. This is hard to explain... sorry if I'm butchering the explanation of this procedure, but I'll try again..... The idea is to try and bring the blood bump up onto/between your thumbnails as much as possible, getting ready to pinch & squish the bump between the thumbnails. The blood within the bump will not be as liquid as you may think, in fact it will be like thick black jelly... just to inform you. Keeping this hard jelly idea in mind, you are in fact forcing this blob of congealed blood, "up and out." Roll the ball of congealed blood between the tips of your thumbnails (your digging your thumbnails under the bump) and applying a LOT of squishing pressure, you force the bump up between your thumbnails and eventually bursting through the surface of the scrotum skin, as you push your thumbnails tightly together. You can essentially "scrape" one on your thumbnails ontop on the other, squeezing all of the jelly like blood, out of the rupture.
Blood, blood, blood... yes there will be lots of blood. I told you to spare a few hours to heal. Using one hand, I find it best to pinch the area (just the top surface of the skin) with fingers to momentarily stop the flow of gushing blood, using the other hand to dry yourself off (you were supposed to do this in the shower). Keep the scrotum dry, since a dry sack will heal quicker. Don't shave or aggravate the area for two days and if possible don't get your scrotum wet too much during your next shower. Unlike most cuts, this trauma is associated with a blood vessel and needs additional time to heal due to the pressure of blood pushing on an area trying to clot & heal. Wearing a tight fitting pair of underwear helps, ie: "tighty-whities." Avoid playing with the mistress and/or yourself.
Remember... when we age, our bodies change as does our scrotum. I guess I should also mention, doing the above procedures to yourself or to others is at your own risk and you should always consult with a doctor when causing yourself to bleed. From my experience, I have done both mentioned procedures hundreds, if not thousands of times..... and my balls look marvelous. I don't have any scaring, bumps, blemishes or misshaped balls or scrotum. I'm 68 years old and have started doing this when I was in my late 30's.
Good luck, from the Rabbit.

I have same issue but it was caused from/due to the "maintainence" of gromming.. Basically when i knicked myself with the razor/trimmer but takea forever for them to completely disappear. Main Reason i looked into it.

Get your testosterone levels checked. I had low test and these cleared up after treatment within a month or two. angiokeratoma of Fordyce is known as an old man's condition. Old men have low test.
