I have the axact same thing happening to me, My left eye starts getting blurry and then the numbness in my hands and face starts, I only have one eye, i am blind in my right eye and docters told me that thats the cause of my symptoms, but I dont feel like that could be the problem, i recently started with a new symptom, i see like a gold dot jumping around in my eye and then suddenly everything is dark for about 10 seconds before my vision goes back to normal, im really scared that there is something serious wrong with me, had any of you have the same symtoms?
Do you all drink Diet soda? I drink lots of Diet Mt. Dew. I just had the something happen to me and am wondering if it is from the aspartame?
Good evening,
My daughter is 13 and the blurry vision started about 30 min ago, then the right hand was numb and headache and then her lips started going numb. We gave her an aspirin and are very concerned. After reading these posts, we are waiting just a little bit instead of rushing to the hospital. She has never had this before. We are unsure why she would be getting these symptoms...the only thing that we can think of is that she the smell of mold has been in her bedroom and the builder has identified that the are issues with water coming into the house and mold build up in the walls. I am freaking out thinking that it could be a sign of the black mold in the walls is causing this to happen. Had anyone else with these symptoms been exposed to any mold/black mold?
Thanks for any replies.
About 20 years ago I had a condition which the neurologist called ' brachial plexus neuritis' which affected me after a long illness andafter a sudden but minor shock to my neck, affecting the brachial plexus. He explained that it's a condition where a high level of antibodies attacks the nervous system, like Guiilain Barre syndrome. I was alarmed at the diagnosis since at that moment I could not lift my right arm. He also explained that the antibodies attacked the myelin sheath that protects the nerves, but that in time it would heal but would take 6 to 8 months.
His prognosis was bang on and I recovered about 90 percent of the use of my right arm.
My current condition feels very similar, with the addition of left eye blurriness, probably from inflammation of the optic nerve.
At least that's what I'm hoping. Rather this condition than MS.
I had the exact same symptoms. Exactly the same. I saw a LOT of different doctors and had all of the tests with various guesses. Ultimately, they couldn't figure it out so they kept telling me it was a migraine. I do not have a history of migraines so I did not buy it. Eventually, they figured out that I had what they called 'loose neck'. Ultimately, my short muscles in my neck were weak. When my large muscles got tired, my spine would shift and pinch my nervous system. Eventually, I found a really good physiotherapist who taught me how to isolate the short muscles and strengthen them. It took about a year and was very slow, but I have not had a symptom since. I obviously cannot guarantee what that is happening, however worth checking out.
I too have these same issues goin on every so often. My sister, my mother, my aunt and her daughter (my cousin) all have these as well. My aunt said she has went to a doctor about it. They referred her to get a test done on her brain, and was told that everytime this happens its because her (our) brain is having little seizures. She has been on different meds, but the meds have strange side affects. Like she can not maintain her bodys temp, if she's cold she stays cold for hours. She cannot sweat either, so her body cant cool down. I dont know what name of the meds are, but she says it helps but they are really really really expensive and has had to increase the dosage which is even more expensive.
I'm a 26 year old femalie , Ive been having almost the exact same symptoms since I was 18 or so, it always starts in my right eye and around the eye, if I close my eyes while it's happening I can actually see zig zags. then it moves to a place in the middlie of my right arm, where I had surgery to remove a cyst, it radiates from there bp and down my arm to the point that I can barley control my arm. thrn the tip of my nose goes numb and it moves down into my lips and teeth and then my toungue at which point I can't talk or at least not well. it moves down my throat and through my chest, sometimes into my right leg and foot but not always. I've had doctors tell me everything from nerve damage to it's all in my head. I have noticed it's worse when i'm stresses or tired ant that it has gotten more frequent since I had my daughter. I would love to have a real diagnosis.
i am 15 years old and i have many of thoughs effects that go in stages. at first i get blurred vision and when i try to look at someone's face i can only see half of it. second i get a small headache than starting at my fingers and slowly moving down my left arm i lose feeling. once that is over my face becomes numb. finally i get a massive migrain the lasts about a day. (2 times in the last 2 years)
i have noticed that both times it has happened to me it was winter and around the time when people get sick and both times it happened in the same room at school.
Betty, I had the same symptoms as you are. it started when I was 2nd high school, first is the left eye will be blurred and out of focus then my left figers starting to numb even if I bite it with my teeth, no registration of pain then the numbness will crawl to my arm, left side of my face, left foot, left legs, neusea. then will be followed by a sharp pain in my head..
Then I went to an optometrist, she found out that this are the symtopms of astigmatism. then she prescribed me an astigmatism glasses. I think it worked out for me because I didnt feel it anymore.. but there are times when Im not using my eye glasses then the my left eye just went blur. I just put back my eye glasses then the blur vision will just back to normal for 40mins.
I hoped it will work for the others..
I am having the EXACT symptoms.
