Bluured vision then Numbing in hand that moves to face

Hi, i get the same right side numbness in my eye, lips, gum, tongur and fingers too, followed by a bad headache. This is the third time in five or so years. I don't know what it is either :(

I found out that this is called a hemiplegic migraine. Usually one of your parents would have also got mirgains but they might not have got the weird sight thingy we get (called 'aura' by the Drs). It's important to see a Dr about it, but they really don't know much about it yet.

good afternoon for the past 3 years i experience this exact same symptoms, the problem is that within 30-40 min everything is gone. now when you go to a doctor to check it out, they have nothing to work with because they don't see anything, and it seemed like my doc had a hard time believing me when i went to check it out. the reason why i comment is because i got it 30 minutes ago and i typed in my symptoms and this topic form came up. so i just want to connect with you and the people here. maybe we can get the big companies to pay for a full study about this. ( while driving losing control in your hand is bad) the good thing is that it goes from side to side. so when i drive i switch hand and feet. have a great day

hellow guys. im 18 years old, have the same issue but i figured it out by myself. many doctors failed to cure it untill I had decided to go to optimologist since my vision is getting blurred. she gave me eye glasses and said don't ever remove it. then it works! i'm wearing this eyeglasses for TWO years since then this issue of numb, dizzy etc. hope it can help you.. sorry for grammar. im not good in english just willing to help you guys.

Hi there, I came across everyones storys and wanted to share that i too suffer from this! I'm 25 and it has been happening since i was 16. One of my eyes will go blurry, that side of arm will go numb and weak ill have a headach on the same side and feel sick! I'm actually suffering from one right now! I've gone to my family doctor who says nothings wrong with me it could be stress! Bu they have come and gone over the years and i dont believe its stress related! I would really like to know whats going on with my body! I've searched the internet to what it could be but there's so many different things that it could be. If anyone happens to find out what this might be please send me a email. I would greatly appriciate it! Thanks for taking the time to read what i had to say and just know your not alone!

i think this is what most of us have! Hemiplegic Migraine Headachs, i seen someone post this and looked it up and all the symptoms are the same! Hope this helps you guys out. It says there's 2 types of meds that can be perscribed to help with attacks, but also says they are severe and could indicate a stroke and may have to have a MRI or cat scan, to see.

Hi, im 2 mnths pregnant and this just happened to me. First the blurred vision, then left arm goes numb and then my face.. I hv a headache the whole time and the headache stays after the numbing is gone. Im concered whatever it is will affect my baby. Was you baby ok after your episode? I hv no insurance so I cant just go to the Dr :( Please let me knw if ur baby was ok to put my mind at ease. Thxs Maria

Hi my name is whitney . I get this miagrane all the time I was really worried cause I get them almost 6 times a month. I went to allergy testing. Nothing. My family pa wanted me to see if it had todo with alergies but its not . Then I tild her I had them for years. It will start as I'm looking at my phone or the sun or reflecting off the snow windows anything even headlights. My vision will go blurry I can't see my hands will go numb and I won't be able to speek il try but only get two words out. Mean while I have kidney issues and I was in the hosp when it happen and I hurried and called in a nurse and told her what was going in they checked my vitals and it was very high. But sent me back to my room. So they didn't take it seriously. I was very scared like she didn't here me sluring to her. My mom freaked. Well after iv meds it went away but 30 mins after that it came right back. My doc now did a mri ct scan and everything is fine but now he wants todo a spinal tap to see the blood and fluids in my spine that lead to my head are fine they did it to my sister and she had the same problems so now I'm gona see if I have what she had so talk to ur doc about a spinal tap

I have had these same symptoms and it annoys the c**p out of me. Its like at first my head hurts to the point that im almost crying and then iys like my eyes go black around the corners. It mskes me feel like im going to throw up. I get numb at my right hand as will and it travels up to my face. I have had multiple doctors check me up, but all of them say that there is notheing wrong eith mr, but there has to be something because ive been studying to me a nurse and have researched this many times. I normally come up with two or three different types of "bugs", but some have other symptoms to go eith it and it makes me a little annoyed. The bad part is that my headaches and vision thingy lasts forver and my headache gets to be so bad i just wanna scream!

Does it happen when you consume large amounts of caffeine or when it's hot? My chiro suggested dehydration in regards to my experience with the same problem.

The same symptoms that everyone is talking about happend to me yesterday, in the exact order as many of you. Blurred vision with zigzags, then numbness in left hand, then numbness in tongue and it moved to my lip on the left side. Then I got a very light headache on the right side of my head near my temple. I went to the ER as well. Blood, uring and CT scan all came back normal. The Doctor suggested that it may be a migraine but I didn't have a bad or painful headache. When I went home I found this article. And apparently you can have a migraine without pain. Hope this helps.

I have had the exact symptoms as you just now (and my husband keeps calling me a hypochondriac, lol) but I googled my symptoms while it was happening. It started as me seeing stars in my left eye only, and I figured it was happening since I'd barely eaten that day. When I ate some food, it slowly went away, but then I started experiencing a tingling numbness in my left hand. It then traveled half way down my wrist, skipped to my nose, then into my mouth and is now numbing my tongue. Have you received that bloodwork you were taking about?
