I just recently having this weird swelling just above my collar bone and found this thread. I didn't look though every page here. But I wanted to add that one possibility is one I already have Sarcoidosis in my lymph nodes. My condition started several years ago as a swollen lymph node just below my armpit towards the breast area. My diagnosis was confirmed with a biopsy and blood work. This is a condition also commonly found in the lungs and many will find it under lung conditions but Lymph nodes are also common area. It can actually be found in most any area of the body as I have it in my eyes and reproductive now also. Here is WebMD description. In people with sarcoidosis, abnormal masses or nodules (called granulomas) consisting of inflamed tissues form in certain organs of the body. Sarcoidosis can go into remission for many but others there is no cure and treatment can be helpful for some. If it's gets to vital areas like lungs, brain, liver it can turn into a life threatening condition.

I hope you find a good one as many doctors will misdiagnose as to many have no experience with this condition.
Same here I get more on my left side than the right, asked the doctor he felt it and said it's not hard but if does get hard then that's when we have a problem and he hasn't said anything more about it, as now at times its not as soft as beginning so now am going back to see a doctor to see what the heck is going on

I have the same thing...it is predominantly on the right side. I've been scanned and untra sounded and checked for thyroid problems.. no conclusions. Stress does seem to make it worse. In my case I have a root canal on the bottom right side that has never been right since I had it done. Dr does not think it is related...I'm not so sure. No sign of infection though.

You sound like what I went through. The small blisters. Get them to check you out. They finally sent me to the Mayo clinic and I have an auto immune disorder which is rare, pustular psoriasis. The swelling in my neck, both sides, is not related, I get the same answer from my doctor. Yet, I do have hypothyroidism. I believe the thyroid and stress is the underlying problem for the swelling. Just my opinion. After reading the posts I do not think that it is weight or hormone related! Do not let the doctors make you feel like it is your weight, I have had it when I weighed 100 lbs and 200 lbs. I am now 55 and weigh 138 I am hypo, have the auto immune disorder, have chronic kidney disease, high BP, high tri., High chol., and many other health issues but the most common between most of us is the hypo and stress. Every doctor I see states it is not lymph nodes but they do not know what it is. Good luck and God Bless. Karen
It's back. Had these same symptoms last year, as described by many here. Same thing triggered it, hard work, shoveling, hammering, etc working on the house. Just turned 50, first symptoms were last year. But eventually, swelling went away when weather cooled, but, back again this year. Preceded this year with a couple dizzy attacks, like room spinning almost fainted followed by lightheadedness and headaches and now with the water on the clavicle, sore neck and shoulders. Doctors couldn't figure it out last year. New doctors this year. Have blood work on 6/19/2017 will let you know. I will be showing this post to the doctor.
Yes, but it was several years ago, don't remember name of it. I did just stop my antidepressants, paxel, last year, but can't remember if swelling occurred before or after. Am 50, first swelling last year, came back yesterday. Menopausal for 7 years now. Just started taking krill oil tablets, was taking fish oil tabs last year. Think I am going to stop taking these to see if swelling goes away. hope this helps.

I am experiencing the same symptoms...the swelling doesn't hurt but it's noticeable, I can feel the change in my neck. Could this have anything to do with menopause? I had my thyroid tested with no negative results. I do enjoy a glass of wine or a beer at night, could this be a weird reaction to alcohol?
I have all the same syptoms and have had all the same tests. It is good to see I am not alone. I do enjoy a glass of red wine at night. Does that effect it?

I'm a 52 yr old male, been healthy, and correct weight my whole life until about 9 months ago.
Sudden 20 pound weight gain(no dietary changes), tired, and now these painless "gel pacs" which appeared last week in the same locations as everyone else posting here. Symmetrical.
CT scan scheduled for Wed, and if they find nothing I won't continue with seeing every specialist under the sun -- but will follow your advice and go back on correct vitamins(from reputable companies), begin working out again, hydration, etc. You've truly inspired me and I thank you so much for your posts. This past year has been a stressful one for me as well(all work, no play, but perhaps too much wine late every night, and a bad smoking habit -- need to quit - easy to say, difficult to do).

I hope that you are doing better now.Hi, I am having swelling also mainly on the right side and some pain in my shoulder. I just had a ultrasound of my thyroid and shoulder and will probably get results tomorrow.
Sounds like Sjogren's Synďrome. Betting fatigue and joint pain acompany the swellings. Get tested before the organ damage strarts. Took me 7 years to get diagnosed. A Rheumatologist is your best bet for determining your condition. This disease can wipe you out without warning. Good luck.
I have had all the same symptoms also, with no answers. Your muscle area seem to pin point my pain, i have had the swelling on and off for about 3-4 years, had all the tests, scans, etc with no def answer
