I recommend ya'll atleast google the symptoms and see if they sound familiar!
Im going to talk to a physical therapist friend and ask some questions! I hope we can figure this out i am tired of the embarrassing swelling and the not knowing what's going on!!

I am experiencing the same problem with the "fat pads" swelling in my neck and the bottoms of my feet. It is very frustrating and concerning.

I just recently having this weird swelling just above my collar bone and found this thread. I didn't look though every page here. But I wanted to add that one possibility is one I already have Sarcoidosis in my lymph nodes. My condition started several years ago as a swollen lymph node just below my armpit towards the breast area. My diagnosis was confirmed with a biopsy and blood work. This is a condition also commonly found in the lungs and many will find it under lung conditions but Lymph nodes are also common area. It can actually be found in most any area of the body as I have it in my eyes and reproductive now also. Here is WebMD description. Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory disease that affects multiple organs in the body, but mostly the lungs and lymph glands. In people with sarcoidosis, abnormal masses or nodules (called granulomas) consisting of inflamed tissues form in certain organs of the body. Many times this condition it thought to be cancer at first as I had this fear also as I had a sister that died from lymphoma. Sarcoidosis can go into remission for many but others there is no cure and treatment can be helpful for some. If it's gets to vital areas like lungs, brain, liver it can turn into a life threatening condition. Get to the doctor! I hope you find a good one as many doctors will misdiagnose as to many have no experience with this condition.

Don't know if you'll see this, but I got married in '95 and my stress went thru the roof, lol. So badly, I ended up having TMJ surgery 2 years later. The 'lumps in my throat didn't show up until '98, 3 years after my divorce. Just saying. And after the surgery, I'm very, very careful not to clench my jaw anymore!

Someone mentioned Madelungs disease somewhere earlier in this thread. While I like a social drink, I'm a female and not remotely of Mediterranian descent.

I've had these symptoms for nearly 15 years. It's unsightly, but seemingly not health threatening. When they first showed up I had an ultrasound, an MRI, something to test my lymph nodes (which were fine), my thyroid tested, etc. Finally, years later, I was told it was a swelling of the muscles in my neck, but no one could ever suggest a way to reduce them. I'm amazed that with so many of us this is happening too, and over 50 pages of questions, not one person seems to have gotten a medical answer.

check out sarcoidosis, I have all these symptoms for years. I also have low platelets, enlarged spleen and liver. The swelling goes around both sides of my neck and in the middle right side of my throat, it's enlarged like a lump. I have pain all in my chest area, down to my my breast. I sent this information to my doctorsssssss. Told them to get educated for I will be in soon . AND these doctors just tell you anything that sounds good, when they don't know.

Check out Sarcoidosis. I googled "swelling above clavicles", I have all these symptoms for years now. I'm going to the eye, lung, skin, pulmonary and GI doctor. I have an enlarged liver & spleen. Sent them my diagnosis, told them to get educated, I was making appts. I'm so tired of having these fat pads, as they are called and the symptoms that go with them.

Thank you for mentioning that. I also have the same symptoms but now my collarbones feel like they are cracking. I do drink so this disease makes sense and it's explanation.

I have same swelling most on the left side, but also on right. Gel like feeling. Its not painful but has spasm from time to time. Painfull left shoulder. MRI shows tear of tendon so my doc ttold me the swelling is inflamation. I dont think so because I have the same on the rigjt side just smaller. Before the MrI doctor guessed it could be my lung that found place there since my job is related with lifting weigjt. Does anybody know about lung hernia? Happens aftwr lifting.
