Hi, I have the exact same symptoms as you do. Swelling at base of neck and has been there since last June. It never fully goes away. Gets bigger once I just start moving in the day. By the end of the day they are quite swollen. Just noticed swelling going around to back of neck today. Doctor says he has never seen this before and doesn't know what is causing it. Had tests done and nothing showed up. There has to be a reason for this and frustrating that Doctor seem to think its nothing. I also had a hard time finding anything about this on the net. This is the first time I found someone else with the same symptoms. Wish this could be figured out.

Last week I noticed the swelling above my collarbone on both sides.  It is soft like water/gel, cannot feel a lump.  I also have been having similar swelling under my right armpit, with it being tender to touch "behind" my armpit.  Also, there is slight swelling under my left eye.  I can feel it but it's not noticeable to others.  I've been worried sick and under a lot of stress the past several months so I wonder about Cushings.  It's been terribly difficult for me to lose weight, I've been dizzy headed on and off, low energy and depression as a result.  I have a tele-med appointment with an ENT this week (can't meet in person due to the pandemic).  I'm hoping they will ask me to come in and examine me in person.  Anyone have any answers?

I have the same problem, it's gets so swollen it feels painful and stretched. I had an ultrasound and nothing was found. I do have Rheumatoid and other auto immune diseases. I'm assuming it's a gland or lymph node that is swelling. Or,as someone else suggested lymphatic fluid. It's been going on for years, so not progressing into anything worse. It does swell bigger and smaller at times.

im glad i came across your comment. I have a swollen on my left side above my collarbone , I found out looking at myself in the mirror last week, after some bad news that I received from my mom's doctor. Ive been researching before I got to this forum and I was convinced that i was going to die. I havent been to the doctor yet since im going on vacation tomorrow. Im planning on going when I come back. My swelling is soft and I don't feel anything hard when I pushed down. Im 38 years old and IM dealing with a lot of stress since my mom had a massive hard attack 3 months ago. I went to the doctor a couple of months ago because Im devoloping high blood pressure. Im a bit over weight and I think my mom's situation stressed me out so much that i developed this high blood pressure. I had blood test and everything came back normal other that a mild anemia that ive been dealing with for more than a couple of years now. Anyway i have large breasts and I experience shoulder pain and pain in the back of my neck all the time. my swelling area does not hurt but there is a particular area when I pushed down I feel pain and it gives me a sensation all the way to my left arm down....anyway I going to try to relax and not think about it on my vacation and im glad you wrote this. It makes me feel a bit better because on top of all the anxiety that I have with my mom health issue, this pandemic situation etc Im dealing with anxiety after googling and find out that everything involving the collarbone swelling is associated with dying pretty much. Thank you.

I feel the same way, I thanked him in another post because ive been around a lot of stress since like 3 months ago with my mom's health issues and stuff like that and on top of that I have large breasts so I always have shoulder, back of the neck pain but when you researched is like you are dying and all of the sudden my stress level is even higher.

Can you please give an update to your post above. I would like to know what you found out about the puffiness or fat pads in your Supra clavicle area

Thanks

I have the same lumps and discomfort that everyone else is describing above my collar bones on both sides of my neck. However i also have fluid retention pretty badly in my fingers and very mildly in my arms and legs.
What i am trying is a prolonged water fast. I am on day 2 currently and i plan to go until the swelling dissapears or 10 days has passed, whichever comes first.
The reason for this is that i went to the doctor a month ago to check my heart rate and blood pressure due toy self diagnosed fast heart rate at home. It turns out that my blood pressure was very high and i was told that i would be medicated. I asked how long he would give me to lower my blood pressure on my own and the doc said a month.
I researched ways to lower blood pressure and the fastest way was water fasting. Most studies are longer term fasts 5-10 days. But i tried a couple of 48 hour fasts and a couple of 24 hour fasts as i am new to it. The follow up appointment a month later showed that i returned my blood pressure from a 165/89 with 92 bpm heart rate to 124/74 with 74 bpm.
What i also noticed is that my water retention lessened with each fast to the point where i could see my forearm and calf muscles again after months of puffiness and my fingers reduced slightly and my neck lumps were revealed. Before this i had so much fluid around my neck that it felt like a hand was permanently placed on my neck.
I will update my results on here. The fast is no food or drinks of any kind other than water. No tea, broth, salted water, juice, coffee or anything else that other people have on fasts. Just a few litres of water each day.

Cheers,
Cam.

Just a few ways that ive read fasting helps with water retention if anyone is interested is by lowering insulin which triggers the kidneys to release more stored water. By using up your glycogen (glucose stored in muscles and liver) stores which each gram of glycogen holds 3 grams of water. By making you more insulin sensitive which lowers your insulin response to food, helping to reduce the amount of fluid retained by the kidneys.

Just an update to my post above. A 4 day water fast reduced the size to about 10%. It stayed reduced for over a week until i had a processed salty meal and then it returned on both sides at about 80% than original size. This makes me think that it has something to do with water retention and possibly insulin resistance.
I will be doing another fast to see if i can reduce it further. It looks promising.

Thank you, this was very helpful. It explains everything that is wrong with me. But my doctor did not tell me. What a jerk. Doctor of the year. Yeah right.
