I vomit almost every morning right after I wake up also, I have searched for answers like many of you, I have yet to come up with the answer. I believe a couple people brought up marijuana in earlier posts, this is currently the only medicine that I use on a daily basis that actually works somewhat. Aside from marijuana, I have also found a couple other chemicals that were seemingly helpful for dealing with this terrible problem...I occasionally take m.d.m.a. Recreationally and I have never been sick or felt sick at all the morning after taking it. Anyone Else experience this? Also, I have taken muscle relaxers for neck pain from a snowboarding injury...same thing not even the slightest bit of nausea/discomfort when I awoke the next morning.
Continued...i posted a little while ago and afterwards went back and read this whole thread again...could this be somehow caused by marijuana...lol everybody on here says they use it to help with nausea, well I smoke marijuana quite often (a couple grams a day on average) everyday, no question, I need to smoke weed throughout the day until I go to bed...which raises the question. Does my morning nausea problem have something to do with me using marijuana everyday?? If a heroine addict stops using dope they get sick, and then they use dope to feel better again??? Input please...
I've been going through this for the last 3 years or so. I ended up losing 50lbs to the point where I had to force myself to eat to maintain 105lbs (I'm 5'6"). Over the summer it got a bit better and I was able to put on some weight but lately it's coming back daily with morning vomiting to the point that my stomach is completely empty and I do not eat until dinner time. I wake up severely cramped and nauseous (note that this usually only happens M-F as this is when I have to be up by 6:00 am). I feel awful, and can't seem to be able to control it. I saw my Dr. last year and he did a battery of tests and told me everything was completely normal. I believe this is due to stress and anxiety. I also smoke marijuana daily and find that it does help calm my nerves. Anyone with any info - Please reply.
i deal with the same thing but has only been going on for 3 months... i smoke pot too and thats the ONLY thing that helps relieve my nausea. keep smokin and try this.... eat a pickle or something with vinegar or try sucking on a lemon/lime with a little salt... it will help to bring back your appetite... and you are not alone... i am 29 years old 5'7" and 120... i have to force myself to eat and hopefully stomach my food but one tip... stay away from coffee in the mornings, its hard but something about it, atleast with me, triggers my nausea... :-|
Niloxs, have you tried nuclear medicine? I had all these symptoms and then finally I tried nuclear medicine and found out my stomach wasn't emptying properly. That's why I kept getting sick. It changed my life.
have the same exact problem except for a few things. the only thing ive found to help is weed, it takes away the bubbling, the cramps and the nausea. and it brings my appetite back so i can eat.
Hey guys, or really I should say girls.
I cant answer for the guys, and my answer for the women may not entirely fit, but it could help some of you. It is very possible you are missing some very important symptoms or not looking far enough for them. It may seem silly but something that happens everyday can have a lot to do with what your menstrual cycle is doing once a month. My older sister has endometrosis and while most websites do not list frequent morning nausea as a symptom, her doctor told her that it is because most women do not associate it with their period issues. It was this information that lead me to associate my every morning nausea with my overly painful almost debilitating cramps, my cycle related diarrhea and or constipation, my headaches and even migraines and my non conforming menstrual schedule. I went to the doctor and it was endometriosis, they did the best they could to handle the symptoms but until I am ready for a partial or full hysterectomy I am stuck with the nausea and a few other symptoms. However, the treatments provided, the suggestions given, all of them have helped lessen the effect.
So while this answers questions for some and not for others. At the very least it will help you with one thing. Expanding you horizons, look at everything, even if you do not think it could be connected, do not discount it. Sit down and make a list, even if it is one time or rarely occurring. If you take a list to your doctor of everything ailing you since the nausea started, or even since about 3 months before it started he/she can better determine if there is a better route to go in diagnosing you.

I'm tried of the pain it comes and goes. When its comes though i cant talk, speak, concentrate, etc. I just sit there with a pained look on my face. It's not going away, the exact oppisite, worse. I havent ever vomited or anything, just really bad cramps and i go hide in the bathroom so no one can see. I wish i knew the reason why this is happening. I've always been healthy and barely sick but now i get these pains every morning. If anyone ever finds a trick or a reason please tell me. I'm desprete to get rid of them. Thanks
hey i have the same issue...the only thing that actually makes me feel better is smoking Cannabis.. it brings back my hunger eliminates the nausea and helps me go right to sleep.. to fight it in the morning.its best to make(cannabis tea)if u dislike smoking.
I'm another one that as soon as I wake up, usually at 5 am. every morning for the past 2 weeks. I don't vomit and don't have bowel situations. My GP put me on Dexitant for acid reflux but that doesn't stop the nausea I get every morning. I went to the ER and they put me on Reglan and that did finally help, but no refills and my GP didn't want to renew it because he say's it has bad side effects, which I've heard. I didn't have any of these side effects and I went back to the ER so I could get another prescription. I go back to see my GP on the 12th and this time I will tell him I have to get a script for Reglan. He'll probably will give to me this time.
So until then I usually take the Dexitant 60mg in the morning, doesn't help and then I go to my sister's house at 6am and drink a cup of coffee and eat some yogurt, Activia is great, it soothes my stomach and then after eating that plus I eat some cheese I start feeling better for the rest of the day. I eat bland foods which babies my stomach and that really helps.
I can't wait to get my prescription of Reglan filled, my SSDI check will be late this month, which sucks, but nothing I can do about that but suffer until Tuesday.
I too experience this nausea every single day. It really sucks waking up every morning and feeling sick as a dog. Many times I can get through without vomiting and many times I cannot. Quite a few years back I was given a blood test because I was having many stomach problems including heartburn, nausea, and vomiting. I was elementary school at the time and I was informed that I had acid reflux. I was put on Zantac 75 twice a day every day. Throughout life the stomach issues have come and gone but they are back now and worse than ever. I rarely experience heartburn anymore, but I am cursed with intense daily nausea. I vomit a minimum of once or twice a week and the only two medicines that have ever been able to really work are promethazine and marijuana. I do not think it is a good idea to be chronically taking promethazine, but marijuana works wonders. Unfortunately I live in Missouri so I cannot legally obtain marijuana even though it is the only practical medicine that works. All I have to do is take a few puffs and within 5 minutes or less my nausea goes away. Marijuana is not cheap and because it is illegal here it makes it very difficult to get (especially without a job). I am currently in college so I am not a deadbeat. I am truly miserable from this curse and it effects me negatively in school and other aspects of life. I seriously need help for this. I wish cannabis was available for prescription in Missouri because then I can live life normally and be able to eat at least 3 good meals a day. What usually happens is I get some money, get some ganja and have a great couple of nausea-free days until I run out. Then its back to being sick and miserable. What can I do? If anyone knows about another medicine I could try, a some how legal way for me to obtain cannabis, or something else I could do to end the daily nausea, then let me know! Thanks
Hi, I also wake up every single morning, forced out of bed early, then about 1 minute or 2 later, I get severe nausea and usually puke. after I puke it gets a little better, but the nausea gets even worse than before maybe 5 minutes after. It usually gets tolerable around 12, but am usually still not able to eat lunch, god forbid breakfast. In the afternoon it gets mild, I'm usually able to eat dinner, go happily to bed and wait for it to all start up again the next day. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I know I'm not anxious I even get on relaxing days when I have nothing t do or a fun day ahead. But it is much worse if I am anxious. All my friends tell me to go see a doctor but I don't want to, I'm actually kind of scared to. It's really bugging me. I never get heatburn. Does anyone know what I should do?
I am so happy to find this post. I have sever nausea EVERY morning. It starts anywhere from 5 - 6am and lasts a couple hours. I throw up several times every morning, followed by a BM (which is usually soft), then followed by burping. Once all that happens I usually feel better. I typically can't eat anything until mid-day... but then only fruits and veggies. The mere thought or smell of food in the morning makes it worse. This has been going on for about a year... guess it is time to see the Dr.! This has caused me to lose weight, I am 5"2 and weigh about 98 pounds. While I like being thin this is making EVERY morning unbearable and my husband is getting very frustrated with the situation. I have found that if I sip something to drink in the morning it helps. I also get the sweats, then I am freezing, then sweating. When I wake up in the morning my only saving grace is I know that in a couple of hours it will be over. Weird thing is I don't sleep well and I can wake up at 3am and feel perfectly fine, fall back asleep and then a few hours later have all of the symptoms everyone else has posted. VERY tired of all of this!
In the past 3 years, I've had severe kidney stones, ovarian cysts galore, (even a torsion--which means a cyst grew so big it twisted my ovary around and nearly killed it). I, too, have the same symptom. The most insane nausea pains in my stomach the second I wake up, and a lack of appetite throughout the day. I've had surgeries, stents, stitches, opiates, doctors, hospitals, ER visits... Nothing has helped; which is no surprise in the USA, but that's besides the point. I've researched, cried, yelled, been bed ridden, been addicted to Dillauded, been frustrated out of my MIND- and I've found one sweet remedy, following the theme of the latter responses, Medical Marijuana. For the past 3 years especially it has been my saving grace. I am able to function with mass amounts of THC racing thru my body. Luckily, I live in Denver, CO; the biggest Medical Marijuana state in the world. Is this a sign of Endomiriosis? I was tested for it about a year ago, and it was negative. Could it have formed in the past year? Is it in my head? Sometimes I wonder if it's just psychological, but by understanding my most recent medical history, I beg to differ. Any ideas?
