It seems that most of the people here agree that it happens on the LEFT side of the head, and lasts 30 seconds at the very maximum. On average, it lasts more like 5 seconds. Most people have also been reporting that it happens when they have been sitting for an extended period of time.
This is what I've been seeing in the thread, at least. Personally, I have it for 5 seconds, but I don't see the flash of light, nor feel tingling in my tongue.
But I do think it's a good idea for us to compare medical quirks to see if we can spot a correlation.
I get migraines, during which I'm unable to think straight, or even spell correctly. I've seen this mentioned a couple times. Does anyone here not get migraines?
I also have low iron in my blood, I have acid reflux, and if I stand up too fast, then I lose vision for about ten seconds (this happens about thrice per week).
The first time this happened, I was watching TV, when I sneezed; I tried to avert the sneeze, and we all know what happened from there.
This literally just happened to me while i was driving today! I was checking the to see if i could get into the right lane. I checked my right mirror and then once i actually looked back for a really quick check, i felt a pain so sharp 1 i was scared to further extend my neck, made me stare at the side of the road for a good 4 seconds as i struggled for control of my own neck. Also can remember this happening in the past every blue moon.
