Hi, I am 24 years old and I have been diagnosed with an ankle distortion. There is not much the doctor could do, everything is in its place, all I have to do is rest a lot and that is all. Can I use analgesics for this problem? The pain is not strong but it is present and very much annoying…
I suppose that you can, but you should also focus on that resting moment. In distortion, the ankle has rotated in an impossible angle and that has probably damaged your ligaments. So, in order for them to heal properly positioned (which is very important for the normal ankle functionality), you have to be still and to avoid using that leg as much as possible.
