Guys, hello!

I really need your help here. I was talking with my friend today about my dog and his ears. We both do know that we need to clean dog’s ears more often than we do it, but we still don’t do it. I was talking about some of my methods of cleaning ears, and she told me that she is cleaning her dog’s ears at home with simple dish soap.

I think that this is pretty much insane. I told this to her as well.

She told me that she is not silly to buy some products because dish soap is just fine.

What is your opinion about this?

Hello. First, you need to clean your dog ears because it will prevent some infections. Of course, when you are doing it, you need to do it properly. Preventing ear problems in dog’s starts with monitoring and proper cleaning of your dog’s ears if necessary. Second, I want to ask your friend one question – does she clean her ears with dish soap? I mean, if she is cleaning her dog’s ears with it, she can clean her ears. I am sorry but that is one of the funniest and silliest things that I have ever heard. There are a lot of products that owners use for this. Dish soap is NOT one of them.

Hello there guys.

I totally agree with Dog Whisperer. Cleaning your dog’s ears with dish soap is not ok. She should never do that.

I don’t even know how she came up with that idea.

Here is what you can’t use to clean his ears:

  • Rubbing alcohol,
  • Dish soap,
  • Mineral oil,
  • Vinegar.

It is definitely the best if you tell her to purchase some commercial ear cleaner form local store or some that your vet can recommend you. Let her know that it is insane to clean his ears with dish soap. It is CRAZY!

Well, I totally have to agree with everyone in here. It is not OK to clean a dog’s ears with dish soap. It is pretty much insane.

I need to tell you that I do know a lot of people who are cleaning dog’s ears with dish soap. I don’t know why this is so popular, but they do.

So far I am not familiar with any side – effects but I would not play with it.

There is a reason why vets recommend some other medications to clean it.

Please, consult your vet about this if you don’t know what you are doing.
