OMFG!! i had the same disease! my throat is not hurt anymore but it had still red lumps,its been 2months now since the red lumps appeared,im taking antibiotics and mefenamic..

When I had the problem of a sore throat, I just took some home treatment like gargle with salty water and honey with ginger , and my throat felt better. Some of the other treatments like gargle with a baking-soda solution, vaporizer, Hot lemonade with honey and Garlic can also make us feel better.

I'm having the exact same problems, but I've had my wisdom teeth out already so don't blame them just yet. That often won't bother your throat, although it can cause jaw pain and swelling (it affected my ear too). I'm going to my doctor again in about an hour, hopefully she has some answers. have you checked out tonsillitis, or had any blood work done? Antibiotics did nothing for mine, it took the swelling down a bit while I was on them, but as soon as I stopped taking them I'm back at square one.

I don't know what you have but that is too long for a sore throat. You need to ask around for a really good EENT Dr.

I have a sore throat that recurs, and my doctor wants me to come in for blood tests and an ultra sound. A year ago I didn't want to but I thought the sore throats had a connection this time around. If you have any blood in your throat, get checked somewhere else if you can. Considering how long you've had it, I think you should go in. Try different doctors, not all of them can find what is going on sometimes, and that can just make it worse for you.
If you want to try soothing your throat, a cool aloe drink ((sold at the asian markets or farmers markets in a green bottle)) should help. It tastes a little like grape, and it's worth it to sooth your neck.
