If a person is sleeping 8 hours a day and when gets up is still tired, must be some disorder? Or not? This is happening to me for some time. I am tired all the time and have problem staying awake. If this means anything, I am on some kind a diet for weight loss.
I am not a doctor, but I had some experience, in the past, regarding diets for weight loss. My diets was not recommended by specialist (doctor, nutritionist) they were from newspaper. I was feeling constantly sleepy and tired. My diet was the cause. Because of it my iron was to low, so I was anemic in some kind. Maybe is this happening to you, too? Why dont you check with your doctor?
Hey henrieta,
Like the previous poster said from experience: yes, it’s quite possible that the diet you are on is causing you to be less energetic and feel sleepy most of the time. What would be really helpful is to know what does your diet exactly requires you to do – or not to do. But even without knowing the details, you can judge this one pretty much on your own. If you became less energetic once you changed your diet in more drastic way, chances are you also cut off some vital nutrients from your meals.
It might very well be the lack of iron, but you should also check to see if you are taking the most important vitamins. Sometimes vitamin and mineral supplements re not enough and you still need to take them from food, even if it’s in the smaller amounts.
