Using just the lime will surely hurt, however, you can use a tea spoon of honey with lime juice. Let it dry naturally for 10 to 10 minutes. Wash it with warm water and exfoliate using a loofah. This procedure will take a time, almost a month but nothing is better than this.Using natural methods is far more safer than using harmful chemicals. Using hair removing cremes like Nair and Veet does leave dark patches too. Using other products that are in market may have some side effects. However, it is a natural thing so you don't have to worry about this much. It's just those porn stars or celebrities who work really hard on such things since it is their business.

Hello ladies,

I want to reply to the last post.

Here are some natural beauty tips to help you get by, heal the blemishes and reduce ingrown hairs etc.

1. Shaving is a big NO NO! Black skin and hair was not made to be shaved off, because of its coils and the sensitivity of the skin and hyper pigmentation.

The solution to ending your troubles is waxing. I know its really embarrassing to have strangers handle your private areas, but its really the best solution..trust me on that. I started going to the salon to get my pubs waxed about 6 months ago and have experienced a total transformation in my pelvic area.  The hair grows thinner and it takes longer to grow back.

At first I had some ingrown hairs, but as the hair became thinner that stopped as well.

you just have to make a conscious decision and commit to it for a year and you will see a world of difference.

2. do not pick or try to pop the ingrown hair pimples

The best solution is to apply a warm steaming wash towel on the area everyday until the hair starts to break the surface of the skin. If the pimple is filled with puss then leave it alone, your body is fighting an infection in the hair follicle ...so leave it alone. It may look nasty, but you must trust your body.

3. Stop wearing really tight underwear

If only I had a million pages to tell you about the serious danger underwear and bras put our bodies in. I will start by telling about the lymphatic drainage systems that get blocked because of the tightness of these undergarments. when lymphatic drainages get blocked the body is vulnerable to infections from within, toxins are trapped in the same place causing radical cells that eventually can lead to cancer. Also the tightness of the elastic band may cause irritation of the skin, which causes an infection in the hair follicles ...

I would also like to point you n the direction of Dr Phil valentine, who talks about the wounded womb. In his lecture he talks about the importance of the vagina being able to breath in order to provide oxygen to the uterus and ovaries etc. Please look into this sisters because many black women are havin troubles with cysts because of the vagina's lack of oxygen.

my solution to the problem of ingrown hairs in the area is simply to not wear underwear when I am at home and when I sleep. I also make sure that the area receives sunlight during the week. because the sun has healing properties that help activate melanin concentrated in that area, which helps regenerate cells. Also not wearing underwear diminished the odours in the area, many bacteria mix with the sebon that create a breading ground for many issues...and that funky vagina smell is the result of that.

4. Skin care regiment

Take the challenge with a goal in mind. Pubic skin is very sensitive and needs your care. You an make special oils at home to help regenerate new healthy cells and there are age old remedies I could share with you like the use of aged urine therapy to remove the deep scars and help rejuvenate the skin and give it back its elasticity.

For more information on the skin care regiment for the pubic area you can contact me.

I dont want to sell you anything I just want to protect my secret regiment that I am using because I am writing a natural beauty book for black women. I dont mind sharing because it helped me I have seen the difference in my skin, and I have been at it for 6 months.

but please I beg you...do not shave!!! Black women's hair does not deal well with shaving...I learned that the hard way. I used to be really ashamed of the amount of hair I had on my body and the scars and blemishes that removing that hair caused. So I started on his clear skin journey to heal all of my skin, and especially my pubic area.

I hope this helps.

Did the lemons work on your dark area?

Im unfortunately having this problem too. Im an 18 yr old (light skin) African american. I've been shaving for a couple years now. The razor bumps and dark spots make it look like i have a rash on and around my area. I'm a dancer and figure skater. Not being comfortable with my body is a big problem considering how as a dancer theres really no such thing as a locker room. You dress where you stand. Will the lemon and brown sugar remedy get rid of the problem? How bad does it burn, i have a very low pain tolerance  How long should this be done? HELP!!! Please!!!:-|
