Mine has completely gone away on its own. It took over a year for it to completely subside. I really don't think surgery is necessary at all. I thought mine would never go away but it did. Just be persistent about massaging and exercise should help too- I bike every day.

Then in that case, look into getting a "Fashia Blaster". It seems to break up the fibers called, fashia that can constrict your muscles that can lead to pain, and cellulite, and help scar tissue too. Google it.

Like a lot of you, I dented my right buttock 3years ago by falling down the stairs. I finally got in to see a plastic surgeon a couple weeks ago and he made a small incision to release the scar tissue. I'm still healing but it appears to have fixed half the problem. I may need more surgery or a fat graft to fix the rest of it but It is already so greatly Improved that I feel less self-conscious already. I look forward to when it will all be fixed :)

Same here...fell down stairs 3 years ago and I have a huge lump on my right buttock that is actually fat and tissue permanently shifted upwards. It looks horrible even spanx do any hide it much. Anyways after the fall I had two babies (I. The span of two years). I have plastic surgery scheduled for this Thursday. What they needed to do in my case is remove fat from my back and belly (I just had two babies back to back so I have a lot of it...probably the only plus in this situation WINNING....anyway then they put it into my buttocks to even them out and reshape them). I will end up with a huge butt altogether but at least it will be round. the whole procedure is costing me about $9000 Canadian dollars. I'll gladly pay double that to be rid of this to be honest what a nightmare to deal with. Wish me luck folks I'm really nervous but excited. Maybe I'll come out looking like Jennifer Lopez...lol

Hi, thank you so much for the information! Where do you get the high intensity ultrasounds?

Hi all! I'm glad to have found this thread and read everyone's experience. Last summer I slipped down a marble staircase wearing flip flops resulting in a large hematoma that I thought was just a bruise that would go away. I noticed the bump after a few days but my doctor said it would go away. It hasn't. I even have a dent below it. I was just on my way to having the body I've always dreamed of. Now I cry every day, I'm only 21. I noticed squats were helping for awhile but now that side isn't gaining as much fat making the opposite side more fuller. I feel pain right now, slight discomfort actually. I need to look into deep tissue massaging, ultrasounds and cupping. How did you find them? I don't know where to start. I've always been insecure, if not about this then my large breasts and I'm very slender as it is. All of my friends, mom and grandparents say it's fine, but it makes me feel insecure and self conscious. What guy would would want to date me? :( I'm crying again. Great. It's been 9 months. I wish I'd gone straight to the hospital to have it drained, maybe there would've been less of a chance of having a lump. I don't care about the dent, that can be fixed with fat injections. Or call it a dimple simple. The lump is what makes me upset. :( I massage it daily still. It's visible through underwear and leggings, not too much. But it's there. I wonder if guys notice. They probably do. Sigh. Ugh this makes me so depressed. Even if it goes down I doubt working out will ever help because of the dead tissue, so one side will always be bigger. /: Have any of you had boyfriends after? What have they said? Do they care?

Wow, such a popular topic. I have an small deep indent near the top of my butt from a sharp object I fell into that was at the bottom of stairs 17 years ago... It's never gone away, is still tender to rub after all these years (nerve damage?), and has become my old injury that aches when I've been on my feet too much or it's going to rain - (now I feel old telling stories like this). I googled it because it was aching. I wonder if others got chronic dull aches for years?

Most (right sort of) guys don't care about this sort of stuff. Unless you are planning on being a butt model, what's up front and overall physique will matter more from a looks perspective for attracting them in. If you are trying to get with a guy that is then put off about a temporary lump on a butt, you just saved yourself long term pain cause that superficial guy will probably trade you in for a younger model as you get older. No need to cry about it

Same thing happened to me. I recently saw an episode of Dr. Miami. Had a patient name Raquenel and she had an injury caused by her husband. She had a dent in butt cheek. The doctor fixed it, but she had to get two procedures because the first one the dent came back.

Hi, everone. Two weeks ago, I fell through a rotted deck, a 4 inch wide space. I went in as far as my mid to upper thigh. This squeezed the fatty tissue in my thigh upward, a kin to squeezing toothpaste thru the tube. The orthopedic surgeon told I have a fat fracture, the result of which is two large bulges, one inside, one on the outside of my upper thigh. The affected area measures nearly 6 inches larger than my other thigh. The bulges are compacted, and hard as a rock. I was told there is no treatment, and the damage is permenant. To say the least, I am devistated. My thigh looks like a roll of the Michelin man.
