Hello there, where are you located, and what is your doctor's name? What kind of surgery was this? It's been over 3 years for me, and I need to get my bum looking like it used to look. The deformed area looks worse. Thank you!

I fell down the stairs because of ice last January. I have seen three plastic surgeons that told me it will never be the same. Im still waiting for it to heal before i can do any surgery.
Has anyone seen a lawyer since it was an accident?

can you please tell me how big your fat lump was. how can it be that your cheeks evened out after the surgery if he had to take that lump out. it sounds like mine but I passed on excising it after I was told I'd have a scar through my cheek and maybe even dent where the lump was removed. There is already a dent under it so I can't picture how this is going to improve things. maybe I should have had it surgically removed? I have an appt for lipo, fat to butt, but I am not sure I am doing the right thing. plus it's going to set me back $16K which is painful in itself, but I am at my wits end. Isn't there some kind of thermal devise or ultrasonic device that could break it up or melt it? All this time (2years now) I should have been taking serrapetase that enzyme that supposedly digests scar tissue. In my opinion, surgery just begets more surgery unless you get lucky and land a genius doctor the first time.

Hi there! As all of you, two weeks ago (to the day) I suffered a fall on my marble stairs and had a horrible bruise and 3 days ago I noticed the horrible bump. I read and re-read all your experiences and got very alarmed so I went to my dermatologist, Dr. Aaron Avalos, he told me that my bum formed a fibrosis similiar to a botchy liposculpture. He recommended 3 sessions of radiofrequency and told me to massage it with my thumb and apply pressure to help the fibrosis disolve. After my first session I noticed the swelling went down considerably, so I have two more sessions to go and probably will go to more depending of how my progress does. I live in Tijuana, B.C., Mexico. Each session costs $40.00 dlls. So girls or whoever reads this, if you suffer a nasty fall on your buttocks, get medical attention as soon as possible. If your doctor tells you not to worry please do. The fibrosis WILL form and the sooner you get treatment the better. I will continue to update you on my progress and hopefully my bum will return to normal. I am very greatful that all of you posted your experiences and if it weren't for you, I wouldn't have sought medical attention and the damage would have become permanent. My prayers are with you. I wish and hope that you find a doctor and treatment that will work for each of you and if you live near the border go to Dr. Avalos, he is a wonderful doctor and man and will treat your concerns with the respect and alarm you deserve. I know that most of us may not had a supermodel derrier, but it is OUR derrier. As I said before, my prayers are with you.

Well, is a week later and I've had 3 radiofrequency sessions. I'm somewhat satisfied with the results. The dent is less noticeable, even through clothes and snug dresses. the fibrosis is almost gone. I feel a little lump in the deep tissue/muscle. So fingers crossed as time passes and some more sessions of rediofrequency, my buttocks will return to normal. I'll write another update next week.

Didn't realise this was so common. I had a really nasty car accident 14 months ago and my hip/thigh ballooned, it looked like I had a third buttock. I had to go to England to study, and the physicians back home told me that the hematoma would resolve itself. English doctors all said the same and decided that they would not drain the hematoma.
Fast forward 14 months. Yes my hematoma's gone down a lot, but there's still this huge irregular sized bump on my hip which makes yoga pants, daisy dukes etc completely out of my fashion range. The more info I read, the more I'm convinced I should have somehow talked my doctors at the time into draining my hematoma. Seven months is the longest waiting period I've heard so far for draining. For me at 14 months that time has come and gone. I'm so furious with all my doctors, I was only 22 years old when this happened and I'm way too young to be saddled with this for the rest of my life. Since then I've returned to my home country - we have an extremely good health plan - and have had an ultrasound scan and been told that it has turned to fibrosis. Since then I've done a lot more googling and found that fibrosis is extremely hard to remove, which is what the rehab centre I've been visiting every day has told me. So far I've had electro and heat therapy for a week, have no idea how well it's coming along so far but will keep you updated. Meanwhile I'm going to visit a plasic surgeon later on in the week. I NEED this hematoma out of my life, that's already 14 months of my life I'm never getting back.
Moral of this story is that doctors don't seem to know what they're doing and it's not their legs/buttocks that have been disfigured and to them you're just a patient with a non life threatening condition. Make them aspitate/drain/let out the blood/ whatever it takes to get the fluids out of your hematoma while you're still in the "fresh" period - 6~7 months. If you take the advice of your quack doctors like I did, you'll end up with a still visibly deformed buttock a year later and feeling that you could strangle them for their medical misjudgment which alas you will have to bear the burden for.

Hi all-just looked this up because on my way for an ultrasound next week after falling the first week of November on a cement step while on vacation. I am so upset as if they had only put some skid pads or grit in the paint it probably would not have happened and according to what I heard it happens often on these steps. Huge bruise is gone but about a 4 inch by two inch rim or protrussion is left. And it sounds like from what the Doc says its permanent. I did not do heat or anything. Just thought it would disipate. Wore a lovely out fit to an xmas party last week and had to go buy spanks to try and hide the bump which it did not. I am trying to be grateful I did not hit my head and not be vain but its very bothersome. I'm 54 years old and not ready for the skirted bathing suits yet but that may be the only thing that hides it.

Hi there my story is very similar.I am 49 years so similar age to yourself. Fell down my home stairs on 13th Dec. very very painful to the point that my son heard me upset from his room. Massive bruising all across my behind, the most ridiculously huge swelling on one side.
This particular day my partner was collecting his 1 year old grand daughter for us to baby sit. Basically i did not use frozen peas or rest or do anything sensible other than take pain killers.
Could not lie on my back in bed as the swelling was so painful. Managed to sit sideways on sofa to avoid sitting on the painful area. Survived /christmas but visited my doctor the first monday after christmas. She was horrified and said it was the largest bruise and hematoma that she had ever witnessed.
she perscribed antibiotics for a week as she said it felt warm and she suspected it was infected. after a week no improvement so i returned and she has now referred me for an ultrasound to have a look more deeply at hematoma?
I am a worrier i can not deny this please could you let me know how you got on with yours?has your swelling gone yet ?
Is it still painful or improving and basically what was the result of your ultrasound?
When you mentioned your xmas party and your swelling showing through it sounded so similar to me, I wore a long top christmas day but new years eve i wore a new skirt and i could see it through the material.
sorry for long email, hope you are ok?
