Hi I have to know a bit more on degenerative myopathy. I have a germane doga, my beautiful pet for 7 years now. Lately, I noticed that she had some problem with her hind legs. My friends, who also have dogs, told me that it is probably the case of degenerative myopathy. How serious this myopathy is? Should I be concerned? I have many obligations this week; I do not think I will be able to take her to a wet.
Take your pet to a vet immediately, he must examine her and determine the right cause of her problems and give her a proper treatment. The inability o hinder legs use is pointing to a serious condition that must be treated right away. The problem is, if it really is degenerative myopathy, it will progress slowly and make your pet unable to walk. There is not a lot of pain, so she will not suffer, but still, it surely is not nice to see your dog in such a state.
