I'm 18 years old and I was diagnosed when I was 3 with T1D. I started smoking marijuana this year for fun, but I found out that it actually impacts my diabetes and is a helpful substance for me as a diabetic. When my blood sugar is high, my body starts to feel tight, my mouth tastes funny, and I feel nauseous along with a few other things. When my blood sugar is high and I smoke, I feel none of those things. I'm very responsible with my diabetes and I always try to keep my blood sugar at a good level, so this isn't an excuse to not do shots for me. Sometimes my blood sugar gets out of hand and now, for me, I smoke when my blood sugar is high because it takes away all the bad effects of high blood sugar until it is lowered. I just wish our corrupt government would legalize it and study it so this miracle plant could be used to help diabetics, cancer patients, etc. the list goes on and on.
Do you have an email or phone I can talk to you on to ask questions?
I am sorry to hear this about your son......from what I am hearing, it sounds as thouogh your son may be dealing more with a physiological mental health disease, which so many of us seem to have to cope with. I would seek, good psychological, possibly psychiatric, care. There are some psychological conditions that don't respond well to marijuana use just as some seem much better with use. Just a thought
Marijuana helps with alot of causes, This is not a drug and definitely does not alter ones state of mind. nonah you have such useless information. Esp if it was a year ago, Ask yourself why is really illegal, its a plant. Nature cure. She should be taking magnesium to help with diabetes, add that herb to your diet, she doesnt have to smoke it, she can drink it in her food, make a tea, its only phyco-active when THC is activated with heat. You should be concerned about her smoking its the foods that she is eating. Either too much or hidden sugars in food. And how can one forget after how many years of taking insulin. Everything is money controlled. Just coz its illegal doesnt mean it should be, ppl use their service to mislead others, because they thrive and live fully to the system
Magic mushrooms can cure any psychological problems and addiction
Hello , i really start realizing that hash decreases the blood sugar level , because i had the same as your problem
P.S i like hash more that weed :)
P.S i like hash more that weed :)
Firstly, just because you say the drug is illegal (despite trending towards legality more and more) does not mean there are no valid studies on it, there are plenty, perhaps if you could take whatever personal bias away you could see that. As a type 1 diabetic my blood sugar levels are far more stable during sustained periods of marijuana use, hba1c results the best during times of increased use. I suggest you explore the science alongside your friend instead of listening to this garbage
I also have diabetes type one and am a cannabis user I've noticed it has helped me in so many ways lower blood sugars I've managed to control my weight my high blood pressure disappeared also using less units of insulin my a1c is awesome 6.0
Yes agreed with this thing, marijuana heples in regulating blood suger levels i am a smoker and i have been smoking since 4-5 years it never do harm to your blood suger level till you end up eating till your neck. After smoking if you get munchies and if you dont eat up all stuff it will suerly decrease your blood glucose level, even if you smoke it without having your breakfast. You will feel your hands n feets shivring as they shiver in low glocose levels. Recently i havent smoked weed from 11 days and trust me i am experinceing very high blood suger levels that are not going down anyways even on insuline i have raised the dosage but is not effecting me at all . this thing never happned when i used to smoke marijuana . it helps to regulate blood suger levels and you feel normal person which either non smokers can't
I am a type one diabetic for 57 years. My friend recently told me that because I'm also I DES daughter – that is, my mother took DES to make sure she would not lose me in a miscarriage which was a false perception – I should consider not having any type of marijuana because it can cause ovarian cyst, especially if you're slender with a low BMI. Anyone know anything about this?
The answer to this is that when you use specific strains of Cannabis, to understand the compounds and effects with in. I am also a type 1 Diabetic and The strains that have this effect on Blood Glucose dropping so low is the insulin sensitivity increases as well as the Resistance, meaning that not as much insulin is needed with specific strains. I also have severe Neuropathy pains that are also controlled far more efficiently as well as comfortable than any of the Pharmaceutical options. The key in the blood sugars dropping from the strains that had this effect on you, are the key to reducing your insulin shots ;)
How did you know that you went low before you had the seizure? This sounds similar to something that happened to me recently and we cannot figure out why I had a seizure..
