One day while I was riding my bike back to my house from school, a high school student was coming my way. I was going to be nice and let her pass without me in the way, so I moved towards the edge of the sidewalk side. Once she passed, I thought that I was too close so I moved even more to the side and I went off of the curb and swerved. The sidewalk was about an inch or two aff of the spot where I had landed but my bike tire hit the sidewalk and sent me three feet away from the bike. The high schooler helped me up and asked if I was ok, I said yes. While getting up, I noticed my shin was in terrible pain. I immediately called my mom and dad, for about five minutes they didn't pick up until my dad finally did. He came to pick me up with my mom and walked home with me. I limped the entire way and once I got home, I checked my leg. It looked fine. Now, about 4 months after, I've been concerned by how it looks. The knee bone is shaped different and when I get up, it always feels like it did in the bike crash. My mom said that it was just me and my paranoia acting up. But I know that it must be something else. After the crash, they didn't take me to the hospital or anything, they said it was just a small injury, nothing more. Can anyone explain or give me something to replace the thought of me injuring my knee to the point where it's like this for the rest of my life?
P.s. - I'm a girl and the high schooler was a girl, so don't think anything more. And I went to a middle school so we had different schools and we didn't know each other. Just some things that some people would mistake. :-)
