Hi, Im 14 and I think I have a similar problem and I would really love some help and advice on what I can do about it. All my life I've had tight foreskin (phismosis) and I can only pull it back when in the bath or when I've just gotten out of it. I have started doing daily stretches which seem to slightly help the issue and hopefully overtime it will get to a point where I can comfortably retract it fully. Today I pulled it back and I discovered a white discharge, which I now believe to be Smegma. I just want to get rid of it as soon as possible. How do this?! Whenever I try to clean it Im never sure what to do as because I have phismosis, whenever my head of my penis is out and I touch it, its incredibly sensitive and even painful to touch. I wouldnt want to try scrubbing it away as I feel that would just leave me in more and more pain. Is there any way I could get rid of it, painlessly, as my penis-tip is so sensitive?! Thank you!!??

Hi, your doing good with the stretching exercises, best time to do them is when you take a bath or just after as the water softens the skin, I take it your doing the exercises when you have an erection?
To remove the smegma you can also do this when you take a bath and doing your stretching exercises by just holding your foreskin back as far as you can then holding your penis under the water to let it soak an gently rub with your finger. The glands will be sensitive for a while when you first start exposing them put that will get less over time :)

Hi there,

I have the same problem, but I guess it's not that worse in my case because I can retract my foreskin all the way up with a little discomfort (no pain at all). However, I see a thin white layer (known as smegma) on the head of my penis (yes, that pink portion of penis). I have started to clean it from 3 days. I see a little bit smegma washed off that pink head, so now I see a pink portion and white layered smegma in some portion of my penis head. Also, I take a good precaution while drying off my penis head and underneath foreskin with clean towel. I do it despite that pink head is too sensitive.

I am using warm water, baby oil, and very mild soap to clean this. What did your doctor recommend? Did he advise you to use soap or any smegma cleaning cream/ lotion/ serum to amplify your cleaning process.

And how's your sensitivity now? Is it way too sensitive yet or you're used to it by now? Has it become a casual to you like any other normal touch? Has your doctor recommended anything to reduce sensitivity?

I mean can I use any mild soap or any smegma cleaning cream/ lotion/ serum to amplify my cleaning process, if you know any. Also, do you know any cream or jelly I can use to reduce sensitivity such as KY jelly while cleaning?

Hi, it sounds like your doing just fine as you are, the mild soap is fine as long as your not getting any reactions from it. A couple things I would suggest though is to let your glands (penis head) soak in warm water for about 15 minutes before you try removing the smegma that way it will help to soften it up and I would say if your finding it sensitive when you dry the glands with a towel to just keep your foreskin pulled back and let them dry naturally.
The only way to over come the sensitivity that I know is to keep your foreskin back as much as you can and the glands will slowly become desensitized and your ad able to touch them more.

Yeah i went through the same thing im 18. you just need to naturally bully yourself into touching it. its quite hard to lose the sensitivity. took me about 2 years.

Hi I'm a 16 year old American boy and as you guys may know, circumsision is common in the United States, and unfortunately for me I'm not circumcised and I was never taught how to properly take care of my penis. I was curious as to why my foreskin didn't peel back past the head and looked up a diagram. Once I found out that the typical guy can pull his foreskin back past the head, without looking anything up I started daily pulling it back until it got to what I think is the correct spot. But little did I know cleaning had to be taken very seriously as well and I'm pretty sure I have smegma... What's the best way to clean this?

Guys- Bit of advice advice here. I'm 29 and uncircumcised and have dealt with all of this. First off, my foreskin doesn't pull back all the way (not even close). It's also very sensitive if I do try to pull it back. In college I figured out all of this with a patient girlfriend on how best to have sex, etc.

With sex, you need to lubricate yourself (with or without a condom) to avoid tearing your foreskin. Because no one carries around a little tube of lube, Use some saliva on the tip of the condom on the outside to wet it before inserting, otherwise you won't get in and you could hurt yourself. More on this farther down. Go slowly.

Also, make sure you clean often and using anti-bacterial soap. If you don't keep up with this, you could face an issue of smegma buildup and then you have to thoroughly clean yourself because of odor. Sometimes the skin cells dry up and get stuck under there (if you skip showering or don't clean after masturbation for a day or two) then you have an odor and this smegma-y precum liquid thats similar to a yeast infection going on. Bad. Need to thoroughly clean yourself. But be gentle and don't rip your foreskin or hurt yourself. Anti-bacterial soap and warm water.

Also, I once had sex with a condom on, then immediately afterwards realized my foreskin had retracted about halfway down and was squeezing the life out of the tip of my penis. It seemed to be a very bad situation as this had never occurred before. It was truly horrifying as I sat there with my then girlfriend figuring out what to do and fast!

The trick was to get my finger underneath where it was pressing against (aka squeezing) real quickly and methodically and gently just pull it back over and into place, in a split second. Just be smart and make sure you take care of yourself. Don't listen to these people online who have no idea about what it is like to be uncircumcised or have a non-retracting foreskin. Over masturbation will lead to bruising and can lead to problems as well. Just take it easy.

Safety pin (cautiously) to lift a portion of the solidified smegma and use a set of tweezers to pick at the lifted portion to completely remove the smegma. This worked for me and as for the remaining i just soaked the affected area in a bath of cold water and rubbed it off.

Hi I'm 15 nearly 16 in a few months and recently I've had a problem with smeg, everyday I wash my penis thoroughly with soap and warm water and although I can generally pull it back when its flaccid, all the time I see bits of smegma and I try to pick it off (my penis isn't really sensitive anymore so it's no problem for me) but it's annoying to see that I always see it on the shaft and sometimes under, any advice would be appreciated because I just don't want my penis to be dirty or infectious, any advice would be much appreciated
