derma doctor is a good website to get a special deodorant for discoloration. If you cant wax I suggest buying an epilator, I love it and it works great and no more shaving.

Hi
I had the same problem as you. I a light skinned filipino, so the darkening under the armpits is very noticeable (however, mine was not so bad, honestly. But of course I wanted to prevent further darkening). I did my extensive amount of research on this problem. I learned that it is caused by shaving. Some sites suggested to get it waxed or use an epilator. I had no clue what an epilator was, so I looked it up and youtube-ed it. h

After seeing a few of reviews from other members, I finally got convinced. Anyway, what did I have to lose except for a few dollars. I bought the Emjoi Emagine. BTW, I recommend buying from because it is so much more inexpensive compared to other sites and stores. I got mine for only $67 brand new, including shipping.

Anyway, It's been a little over 2months since I've used this product and I have seem major improvements. Not only are my armpits not as dark, but I also feel more confident when wearing clothing that expose my underarms, should I happen to show them. I love love love this product. To think about it, you also save tons of money in the long run not buying as much shavers, shaving gel/cream, and/or getting your armpits waxed.

Also, if you check out other videos, some people claim it hurts. For me, it didn't- at all. I felt a pinch the first time, but compared to getting waxed, epilating is NOTHING. The more you use it, the less painful it will get, if there was even any pain in the first place.

Well, I hope you try it. It worked for me. I hope it works for you!

Hi everyone.. I am an asian decent and i also have discoloration on my armpits and thighs. It wasn't much before i got pregnant and now its getting worse and it looks like its spreading towards the side of my boobs. It is very embarrassing so i usually wear a sweater over my shirts. I don't know if it is because of my hormonal changes but this is ridiculous. My OB told me that i have a mild case of fungi something on my armpit and she advice me to use anti fungal cream..(NOT HELPING AT ALL)!
I HOPE SOMEONE CAN FIND OUT WHAT IT IS.

P.S. I think i'm going to try Pumice or lemon juice to see if it actually make any difference.

What could have caused this was your deodorant. Some deodorants have an ingredient that your skin might be allergic to. Thus creating the discoloration of your skin. Aveeno makes a bar soap. This bar soap should help.

It is a common problem in dark skin, I too have suffered from this saving does definitly worse. Stop shaving wash pits daily and moisturise with vaseline. Do not use deodorent until ras as cleared then use a roll on non scented and dermi tested.
To remove hair use wax or a new product called no no hair key into search engine it uses light to kill hair

1. Mix baking soda and lemon juice. Make paste and scrub your armpit, not to hard. 2. lemon juice on cotton and dab on your armpit. Leave it overnight. It will sting, but not for long. Be consistent with this step. If dryness occurs, use lotion. 3. Stop shaving, try epilating, or waxing 4. Stop using harsh deodorant. I know this one is tough to give up, but use organic one. 5. Remember, this is a process! It will take time but at least it's inexpensive and harmless. 6. As a fellow sufferer, I can understand.
