I am 26 years old. Since I was 15 I had been suffering from a bunch of similar symptoms, dizziness, pain, fatigue, brain fog, lack of motivation, anxiety, depression... you name it. I had blood tests constantly, I saw over 20 specialists and everyone I knew basically thought I was making it up. I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia from an irregular sleep study (Alpha intrusion patterns), and an assessment from a rheumatologist. Every doctor I saw mentioned Thyroid, and I said I have been tested constantly and my blood work had only been slightly low twice, but normal upon rechecking it. Thyroid was constantly dismissed.

This year, I finally convinced a doctor to give me the thyroid pills anyway just as a test, and low and behold, I started feeling better. I was then sent to another endochronolgy specialist who told me about "Compensating Thyroid Disorder-Hypothyroidism". This essentially means that your body makes up the difference so the blood levels are not affected-therefore it is not something that will show up in your bloodwork. After ten years of being in bed, and feeling like utter garbage, I have a full time job now, and I am coping well. I am not 100% better yet, as you can imagine, ten years of chemical imbalance does a number on your body, but I am on my way. I simply have to increase my thyroid doeses monthly and get a blood test each time to make sure the diagnosis is correct and my body is not being flipped to Hyperthyroidism. Well worth the effort.

Please, please, please do not give up on yourself. If you know there is something wrong, keep asking questions, keep getting second and third and fiftieth opinions if you need to. Especially for young women, getting these symptoms around puberty, it is not necessarily fibromyalgia, or depression or the other answers people give when they don't know what else to look for. I have Fibro now due to the years of damage, but it is manageable with lifestyle considerations and a few select prescriptions.

I urge anyone in similar circumstances to look into Compensating Thyroid Disorder. It saved my life.

Hey,

Im 15 almost 16, and i have been having the same problems as many of you have listed. It started about 6 months ago when i started a new anti-depressent (prozac). I was constantly feeling nauses and i couldnt eat so i lost abuot 7 pounds in a month. they took me off of the medicine and i started feeling better. But a week later my symptoms started yet once again. I began feeling nauseous everyday right when i woke up, i couldnt eat so i began losing weight again. I dropped from 106 to 98-99. I began to force myself to eat and started to get my weight back. I am 105 right now which scares me because i am underweight for my age. I went to the doctors and they put me on Levacid which is helping some. I got blood work done yesterday and they are giving me the results today.

Have you been tested for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Epstein Bar or Mono? All the doctors call it something different and there are different stages.

I am 20, I will be turning 21 in April. I've had these symptoms and more since I was very young, like 12 or 11 is when my stomach problems started. For the longest time, it was just feeling incredibly nauseous. I went through a lot of testing and medications. One time I was supposed to take 8 pills in one day for some sort of infection. I never finished the medication because I felt sicker. For the longest time I learned to just bare through it.
At one point, my doctor told me that a lot of girls and women have the exact same symptoms as me but they have no idea what it is. They figured it was just part of our bodies adjusting to everything. But now I'm 20 and I still have the same issues, except now dizziness and headaches are a factor.
A few years ago I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder, to be more specific they call is panic disorder. I can have many panic attacks in one day if I don't have medication or am unable to control my anxiety (breathing excersies and other things have taught me to keep my mind off of them). My stomach problems were blamed on the anxiety, I still have them, but they aren't as often as they used to be.
So, what I'm trying to say, is maybe you are having some anxiety trouble, or scaring yourself into feeling sick. This happens to a lot of people. And I'm not saying you are nuts!
First of all, stress and diet are a HUGE factor when it comes to stomach problems and headaches. If you are under a lot of stress, you may notice that your stomach is more upset than usual.
Second, I've gone through this for many, many years. All my stomach trouble, well, most of it, have been linked to either depression or anxiety. I've gotten out of my depression slump and am now just dealing with anxiety.
If you suspect you may be having some emotional problems I suggest you talk to your doctor and get some counseling done. Not everyone needs medication to heal. I just thought this little bit of information could help someone out there with headaches and stomach issues. =)
Just don't think it's the "cure all" there may be something else wrong, it's always good to check with your doctor first before you assume anything!

I'm 26, was just diagnosed with celiac disease,I had been googling my symptoms for years. Extreme fatigue, felt like I was in a fog, night sweats, mood swings, cramps, Later came nausea, bloating, contipation, diarreah, severe stomach pain, joint pain, memory loss, numbness in extremities, and frequent urination. Celiac symptoms vary in each person & are so varied that 99% of Dr's never think of celiac. I was given anti depressants & an article on ibs. I was diagnosed on accident when the lab ran the wrong test. And the test, an ANA panel, is not routine, the dr won't order it unless they suspect an autoimmune disease, so I was really lucky. If you think you have this, request that they run the test, it doesn't hurt to check. I hope this helps

I'm 21 with the same problems only I have the worst symptoms...That's right, worse than you...and you. Every time I eat, I throw up green sludge and my head spins. I am always just so tired as well.Like one time my private helicopter pilot took me to my private island off the coast of Africa and when I get there I wake up not knowing where I am...Also, when I get out of bed my right leg keeps falling off. I have tried stitching gluing and taping it back on, but it just wont stay on!!!  I have been feeling like this every since I came back from Raccoon City. Anyone have any suggestions?

This sounds like a food allergy. I have 4 kids and myself and this sounds similar to gluten allergy. Not easy for Dr.'s to diagnose. Told us we had none. If we eat gluten feel like we could die. Hmm We do alternative medical. Headaches, tired, throat scratchy, pale complexion, behavior changes, dark circles under the eyes. Just stop giving him gluten or go to someone who can test for food allergies. Would recommend a natural path because it is less intrusive.

I suggest seeing a rheumatologist and getting an ANA bloodtest done, rheumatological diseases take years to get diagnosed, best of luck

I know how you feel but I am 10 yrs old. And the day I felt sick was the day for supper we had careenie's pizza and their french fries and some of their spicy wings and I think I ate too many. I am feeling better but I have really lost my appetite. I had nausea, diarrhea, weakness, tiredness, headache, dizziness, and yes I am a girl.
