I know this reply comes 3 years after the initial post but I thought I'd share my own similar experience for anyone else with concerns since some of these other replies sound a bit scary! I had the same kind of dizziness in my teens & was told they were merely vaso-vagal episodes which are apparently quite common at this age. The did just disappear over time..I just knew to sit down & rest when I felt them coming on, & sometimes if they were particularly bad (on the floor not knowing which way was up, followed by extreme tiredness & headaches) I just had to sleep them off! Nothing else was wrong with me! To anyone else that experiences these, i hope they pass soon x

All of the sudden ive been feeling really funny. My stomach is always feeling nausous and im always tired and it feels like every time i stand up i get shaky and wana sit down in fear of passing out. I also get really weak and when these episodes occur my body feels really heavy and it seems like i have tunnel vision. Like i look at one thing and thats all i see even though there are other things in the room. Ive fainted once at a basketball game and it was the most scarey and imbarrasing thing ever. Mind u , im 16. I shouldnt be feeling like this. I went to the doctor and they took all kinds of tests and everything came back.normal. Im just tired of feeling like this. I want to be normal.

I have had the same thing for over 18 months and have finally started to get some answers. After initially getting described with panic disorder then told was probably my ears (it wasn't ) I have now been told it's p.o.t.s syndrome. Most doctors are not clued up on this and you may have to be refered to a specialist as this condition used to have a different name. The most common misdiagnoses is panic disorder or ear problems and vertigo. It's all to do with blood pressure and the arteries not contracting when standing or sitting up. It can also cause adrenalin problems therefore leading to panic like symptoms .

I've had the same problem too! I'm an 18 year old girl, tall and thin. Healthy and athletic. I've been dealing with random dizzy spells, sweaty palms, trouble breathing, heart racing, and just feeling so weird. I've tried so many different things that never worked, like drinking more water, taking vitamins, eating more iron, and doing less exercise. I've fainted multiple times and feel dizzy a lot, sometimes more then usual. It got so bad one time I had to go to urgent care but they took blood and ran a bunch of tests that came back normal so I have no answer either! I want to know too and when I talk to my doctor she doesn't think anything of it because i'm healthy and the tests were normal.

All of these symtoms above could be related to MSG (Monosodium Glutamate) consumption. Many foods have Glutamate in them but are listed as other things like "Natural Flavors, Soy or whey protein isolate, hydrolyzed anything, yeast extract, etc. etc. A good way to tell is if these symptoms are relieved by taking ibuprophen. Start your own research as I did. Get the book: Excitotoxins: the taste that kills. A real eye opener. Start with this thread at:

IS THERE ANYBODY OUT THERE THAT HAS SOME WHAT THE SAME PROBLEM??

I have the exact same problem, in any busy place even if i feel safe or someone is with me that i trust fully, the attack still comes, elevators have to be the worst, especially the slow ones. Would rather take the stairs but then my heart rate goes up and boom there it is again, its not a win-win situation. i'm on anti-anxiety meds but lately have found they aren't working as well as they once were. Hopefully it's just related to anxiety as I have had anxiety issues since i was 15 or 16 and am now 26. I have never fainted from this problem thank goodness, but have come close many times, i try to hold on to something or someone if theres nowhere to rest, but I find sitting and taking deep breathes releaseing slowly helps the most, although sometimes doing this increases my heart rate. I think its just really figuring out the best calming method that suits you the best.

I've experienced these same symptoms. Get your serotonin levels checked, if they're normal It's not anxiety. Ask your doctor about a thing called neuro cardiogenic syncope. If they believe this is the cause there's different medicines you can take!
