thank you for your comment on sneaking and eating, have a 17 year old male living with us who does this continuously, also lies and then tries to blame others for it
I found this information really helpful. If you have further information on this please do let us know
your observations are spot on.
I had been reading a book called "people of the lie" by M Scott Peck. the author was a psychologist and he said that these "people of the lie" would be autistic . the mother of my children was the "people of the lie" and already had a daughter - and that daughter now has two children who are autistic . it is easy to see the connection between the generations - ie ex mother in law, the ex spouse - and now the grand children of the ex spouse .
the comments about no intimacy, no real emotional attachment etc are so true and explain why I needed to leave. the ex spouse was highly intelligent and has done well in her career - so she was a highly functioning autistic . one notable feature about her, is that she did not have one friend

My friend's autistic son has recently lied about his teacher hitting him on the face. My question is, how do you explain to him about lying? He doesn't understand the truth vs a lie. How to explain a lie vs the truth concept to a kid with autism?
