Hey lifting 3kg in 100reps is not bad. I do like 30reps with like a 20lb weight each arm. I'm same age as you and im like 10 inches taller though. ALOT OF HEIGHT IS BASED ON GENETICS BUT DON'T GO OVER 20lbs. BUT w/ the 100 reps thing try doing 10 sets of 10 reps. One arm at a time. Im like 25% body fat. YOU MAY ALSO WANNA DO 50 reps and 50 push ups.

Once again, we get two totally different answers to a question. There is much more evidence from the medical profession that suggests a child should not begin using weights until age 15. John is correct that a child is still growing as this age and weights could impact that growth. Why take the chance with all the evidence out there? Utilize sit-ups and push-ups until there is no question it is safe.

it depends im 14 and 6'0 feet tall and i lift 4 kg 3 sets 5x2 times more than the first set soo it wont effect and stunt your growth

That is actually a myth you don't get shorter by doing it. It actually helps but what I have heard is at that age you so not have much testestorene and enough manly hormones. To have big muscles so they tell people not to do it not because they will get shorter.

Hey,Alex i am mohammad i am 13 my height is 5.11 and my weight is 39 kg.The best idea is to do push ups not weight lifts because your height will stop growing

100 reps is bad for you. Go for 25 instead MAX.

what about push ups. i do them and i have sore abs some people say that you wont grow by doing pushups

Well first of all I'd like to make you aware of the fact that you are too light for your length and age.
I am 100% sure the usage of weights will not stunt your growth, except if you'd use heavy weights of e.g. 20 kg.
My tip to you is to go on with what you're doing with the weights and slowly increase the weight as you feel the reps getting easier.
Also try eating more, a good weight for someone your length would be around 42 kg.

I hate that people say lifting waits can stunt growth in 12/ 5'8-M and from Scotland, I have been lifting for 6 months and I haven't seen any changes in growth, I am 9 stone and 12 lb before I was lifting I was 7 stone and 4 lb so there is a significant change in weight, I lift 35 kg when benchpressing and 15

In my opinion no because it increases your muscle it does not effect hieght iam 14 doing dumbell pull ups push ups but still growing

Hello, well I am 14 and have just started training in a local facility (crossfit) is going really good actually and I have se en a lot of progress although I am worried about my height (5,11). I know I can get taller but I just love crossfit and I just want to make sure my height doesnt gets stunted by lifting wheight my maximum is 155lbs recently hit that.
