I'm 13, 5'7", and 135 lbs pure muscle and been lifting for 1 1/2 years now. My dad is a fitness personal trainer and he tells kids like me to do the basic, sit ups, crunches, couch curls, etc. Now, he has me do 15 lb racks 15 reps an arm. If you go slow, advance a little at a time, you should be fine!!

It's okay to weight lift for a 14 year old and leave all the heavy weight lifting stuff life heavy squats and stuff like them until your 16

actually working out will do the opposite it will help you grow i'm 13 and i workout regularly so does my dad and he's huge keep going

I too lift weights (13 at this time) but i go for 15 pound weights and i can do up to 15 reps in each arm

Keep going Alex I am 13 and have been working out since I was 12 I have seen no stunt in growth and I do heavy weights and intense workouts it has made my life much better!

Dude you are half right. If you carry weigh which is too much for you it will affect you no matter the age that is why the gyms don't allow little kids as they think they are above all which is good don't get passed if u are a kid lol.

Will my hight is messed up but thanks for letting this guy know cause I am 5'8 and I should be taller but lift with weights when I was in middle school

Hello Alex! Well since you are in puberty it isint the best forma your growth all do what you can do is of your own weight i do not think the 3kg will do any bad on you my friends siblings of 15 holds 259 libras and does cross fit he was also very thin i think if you want to grow muscle you are fine maybe try a sport like boxing and i suggest if you do arms alzó do legs and admone
