There is a TON of information about the corruption of pharmaceutical drug companies. Many times companies are required to spend less than 150,000 dollars on studies for all their drugs annually. Most often the studies about drug safety are done internally by staff who is paid by the company trying to release the drug. Grow up, get real and do your research on the adversities of this industry. More people die every year in the US in relation to prescription drugs and their side affects because being totally naive about your responsibility as a consumer is nothing to take lightly....

How rude are you seriously it's a lot of women's dreams to have a loving family For you to say she in the wrong for wanting that. Grow up And adoption yea it's a good thing however it's hard to adopt. 1 out of 10 people will get approved for it and it can cost literally almost 50,000 to adopt

Wow! While reading your story, everything you're saying happened to me as well! I was on depo for 3 years and also gained 60 lbs I can NOT get rid of! Me and fiancé have been trying to conceive for over a year with me having no periods during the whole time! My doctors told me I was over weight and that was the reason for no periods. Gave me provera and clomid which were horrible! Still no periods. I found out I was pregnant after almost a year and a half of trying.. and lost the baby. This shot has ruined my life. I regret it everyday. It is the worst mistake I ever made!

My daughter took depo for two years she has been trying to get pregnant for 5 years, no regular period if any after getting off depo shot, her body is trying to go through early menupause so the Dr said, tried clomid and other things nothing has worked, I have always felt it was due to depo shot

I agree that the drop shot is the culprit to my infertility...I am interested in that class action lawsuit. Please keep me informed about the next step into creating this a reality

I believe Depro provera caused me to have infertility. I took the shot once when I was 15. I'm now 40 yrs old never got pregnant. I had spotty periods when I was 15. Then in my early 20s my period appeared to be out of wack. I've had extreme bleeding during my periods. I would sometimes bleed for a whole month and had to go to doctors.

I started depo at the age of 13 (young I know), but was advised by the doctor that it would help with my periods. Welp I stayed on the depo shot non stop until I was 19 or 20, so about 6-7 years. I am now 33 have fully stop all birth control for about 6 years now and my periods are still as if I am on the depo shot. Yes, ever 3 months without medication. I have a 13 year old child already and my husband & I have been trying for about 3 years now with no luck. We are currently seeing a fertility doctor.

Hey, I’m a wife for seven years. I used Depo-Provera many times and I’ve 3 kids. I knew a lot about it. Depo-Provera doesn’t cause long-term infertility beyond two years after the last injection. For some women, it can take up to a year after the last shot to begin having regular periods, but for others, it can happen as soon as four months after the last shot. Don’t use it for a long time. I prefer to talk with your doctor.

In one large study, the average time to get pregnant after discontinuing Depo-Provera was ten months. You shouldn't use Depo-Provera as a long-term birth control method (longer than two years) unless other methods are not suitable. Depo-Provera stays longer in your body. You might be unable to get pregnant for a while your body gets rid of all of the Depo Provera that is left in your system. After stopping Depo-Provera that you still have very irregular periods. Also, there may be a weight gain. My dear see the doctor, he will help you.

I waited until I was 30 to try and have a baby with my husband. I was pleasantly surprised when in just 4 months I was pregnant! We had a son and planned on having one or two more children but wanted to wait a year. My on/gym suggested the depo provera shot. After a year I started having periods again and Oh My what periods I had!! They were lasting 23-25 days, bleeding so heavily when I stood up my shoes would fill with blood! I would be angry one minute and crying the next. After 4 months of this I went to my doctor. He asked me 'did you plan to have more kids?' I replied 'yes, one or two at most.' He then informed me that I wasn't going to have any more because depro caused an early menopause. I cried for three years over it and have never gotten over it completely. My heart was broken after only having the one depo provera shot. I'm now 55, I've never had a lawsuit against anyone but I would gladly join a class action against the makers of depo!!!
