I have 40 years and for long time now I have dry eyes and mouth and it is so uncomfortable that affects my life. I wonder could it be menopause though I think it’s too early for that but I always thought that dry eyes and mouth are menopause symptoms. So what do you think what dry eyes and mouth could be?

I was diagnosed with Sjogren’s syndrome for the same symptoms-dry eyes and mouth and it is much more common in woman than in man. The common symptoms of Sjogren’s syndrome are dry eyes and mouth at first place, but also vaginal dryness, skin dryness and chronic fatigue. This disease is usually misdiagnosed or it happens not to be diagnosed at all for these symptoms may be related to many other diseases and condition. It is usually mistaken for menopause for the similar symptoms and due to the fact that this disease occurs after 40 years of age. I know that having dry eyes and mouth is not pleasant but you could be using some artificial tear drops I personally am taking Hydroxypropyl and for the dry mouth try using some specific gels but you need to talk with your medical doc first.
