Get an aloe Vera plant. Use the gel in the leaves as a lotion. Shower often and if that doesn't work within a couple weeks after every time you shower make sure you are completely dry before you get dressed. Also using a powder with cornstarch in it can help keep you dry. I hope this helps you.

I got out of bed earlier this week and did the ball scratch thing, half asleep. I didn't realize it at the time but I was really going at it- pretty itching. After I showered and my eyes woke up more I was looking down there because an area was still irritated and I about crapped myself seeing a sore. My first instinct was herpes especially since I never get cold sores but have had a couple in the last 2 weeks (my doctor later said these were stress-induced). My next couple of days were sleepless and then in the bathroom at work I noticed the skin at the affected area was loose and shedding. It lifted right off, in small pieces, without pain. The color on the spot sometimes comes back to normal but the texture always appears slightly different- rougher/bumpier. And there is always at least a slight tingling sensation. I have been using shampoo as body wash for a couple of weeks since I ran out of soap, perhaps it is too harsh. But I kind of subscribe to the yeast idea just because I have had a barely noticeable issue on my face (my dr. says Dermatitis) but my mouth has had a weird sensation for months and I actually wondered before if that was a yeast problem. Thank God I am not alone but I seriously want to know how to get rid of it. I know this: I will never scratch there again with fingernails.

this happens to me to and I'm not sure what to do? Is it because of sperm on the scrotum, that's what I heard

It is likely yeast infection. Research Candida. It can be cured with a diet.

Hey...i was having the same problem(right scrotum skin flaking off and red rashes) and so after seeing no solution on this site...i decided to have an experiment and guess what it worked guys....basically you have to do the following measures...
1. Bath twice everyday
2. Dry off your crotch before wearing your underwear
3. Use any anti-bacterial cream and spread it all over you scrotum skin( i used itch-guard)
4. Wear fresh undies everytime
5. If you shave off you hair from the crotch...stop doing it for a couple of days
6. Use the cream everytime after you take a bath.
I experimented and got favorable results in just 2 days....now the skin looks normal

P.S.- i do not take responsibility for any harm occured to anyone else due to this...as it worked for me...i am just sharing it and take it as a suggestion :D

Whoa. Was not expecting to see so many people with the same problem. This must happen a lot more frequently than people realize. Makes me feel a little better, though it sucks that there doesn't seem to be a solution.

I've had this issue for awhile. It only affects my scrotum, mostly the bottom part that hangs farther down. I don't know what happens first, but usually I first notice it when I get an itchy sensation; then I scratch/pull to relieve it; and then it starts to burn (I figure because I scratched/pulled too hard). It gets raw/red, and skin peels away, too. I try not to peel it because that seems to make it worse.

This has been going on for at least a few years (I'm 31) but I never really thought about it till this time because it hadn't ever been this painful. I'm very sexually active but haven't ever contracted an STI. It seems to happen when I shave. Not sure if it's a summer or winter thing. It could be a fungus, so I'm going to try to treat it like one: fungicide, boxers (which will be hard because I only wear boxer briefs), new towel every time I shower, etc. Feels weird going into such detailed description about my balls but it's for a good cause I guess. If whatever I try works I'll report back here.

I am having this problem for almost like two years now...but recently....i use to clean my balls every night with some water, clean dry it...and apply some castor oil, it really helped...the frequency of it occuring it again has decreased and skin colour came back to normal which had became pale due to constant scratching of balls and space between inner thigs and balls.....then i thought of stopping this process of oiling it every night....it came again though.....but castor oil had really kept it at bay....so thinking of continue it now.....

Hello everyone,
I have had this problem for over 15 years. I eventually found out that I am allergic to something that shows up in all processed foods. I have narrowed it down to High Fructose Corn Syrup. I know this because I spent a year in Africa and was on a completely different diet which doesn't allow the use of HFCS. Believe me, I have done everything I know possible to remedy this problem. While overseas the itching almost stopped completely. However, their was something else that I was getting in my diet periodically. I am almost certain that it is MSG in addition to the HFCS. Both are prevalent in almost all processed foods. You can avoid the HFCS because it is always listed. It is not the same for MSG since it hidden in many other ingredients and is not consistently listed. Look up different names for MSG, it is just about in everything processed. Try stopping all processed foods for as long as you can to see if this helps. Its difficult to do, however, but its worth a try. Another thing, stop drinking domestic beer, they all have HFCS in them and probably MSG to go boot. It doesn't mean that you can't have craft beer though! Thank Heavens!!

Same problem; urologist not interested. GP clue less. Dermatologist prescribed steroids which made it worse. Anti-fungals do not help. Got some temporary relief from diaper rash cream and some relief from Aloe Gel. Tea Tree Oil irritated it. Lots of folks have this problem with no relief as doctors do not know. Many Fungi are becoming resistant. I think it is hopeless.
