After using duromine 30mg for 2months i have dropped 10kilos... and i know i could have dropped more!

YES - IT WORKS!
YES- ITS BAD FOR YOU!

For the past month i have suffered extreme side effects.. I am constantly tired and restless, i have trouble sleeping, i can easily avoid sleep - even if i have only had 4hours sleep! I can stay up for up to 3 days, with ease! I am depressive and can cry for no reason at all.. i can be extremely happy and then extremely low.. i have lost 2 jobs since i have started as i have been sleeping in and skipping work because i feel weak and sore.
And when im feeling weak, tired and sore... i rely on my duromine to give me energy! I am now a bit dependent on it. My teeth chatter all the time without me realizing.

when i don't take my dosage.. i easily put the weight back on.2 weeks ago i weighed 77Kg, now i weigh 71Kg.

I am 20years old and have always had a weight problem..
After finding Duromine i am a different person, i have lost weight.. i can lose 1kg a day.. i am so confident and this has done wonders for my self esteem.
Its hard to give it up.. im worried i will pile the weight back on.. and also i feel i can lose more weight!

I rarely eat.. if i do, it is 1 meal a day. - not wise i know, but i don't care for food.
I do not exercise - at all.

I have mixed reactions to this drug. The sleeping problems are horrible.. i feel as if i need sleeping pills jus to over come this, when all i have to do is stop taking them............

To be tired?
or to be Fat?

That, is the question.
Hi, i was researching about Duromine and happened to stumble across this page... This is my 3rd week taking Duromine, i must say i have mix feelings. I am 22 years old and ever since i can remember have had a weight problem. I tried other diets, pills etc some worked but were hard to follow through.

Duromine- well sleep deprivation has no effect on me since i have been diagnosed with insomnia for about 5 years now. The first week on Duromine was like flying high and they realizing u don't have a parachute and crashing hard- it still is actually. I don't really have mood swings, but have found that i do get irritated very easily, dry throats/ mouth is a new effect....all in all, my experience so far is not a bad one, i have dropped 4kg in 2 weeks- i haven't really exercised due to injuries and i constantly need to remind myself that i HAVE to eat no matter what...besides that i think im doing good, i really hate being over weight, not being able to buy and wear clothes that i like, its depressing and as much as this drug has side effects, i rather be a healthy weight and happy than fat, sick and depressed....

regards,
Faith
hi all, i am taking duromine for the past one and a half month.
before i take duromine i try spend thousand to go slimming center, swimming, diet but still not working.. i didnt lose even one poun.. after i take duromine that advised by doctor i lose 7kg in 6 weeks..
i m taking 15mg. the first few days i cant sleep well but after that is back to normal since i was so tired after swimming..
doctor recommend that take one pills in the morning after u wake up before your breakfast and u cant eat anything after one hour taking this pill otherwise the pill is not working. after 3 months u have to start reduce the pill u taking and eat once two days. doctor did tell that after u stop the pill your weight might rebound so u cant lose your weight too fast otherwise will rebound very fast. i m 87 kg before i take duromine. doctor recommend target 78kg then 70kg and maintain 3 months 70kg without rebound just keep on to lose weight. although during the pill i always feel so sad and crying for nothing, impatient, fast angry but i think is worth if i can lose my weight to my ideal weight.. after taking the pill i will continue to swimming and diet to maintain the weight.. i hope you guys can lose to your ideal weight as welll. good luck
Hi,

Im on day 6 of duromine, combined with healthy eating & 60min cardio at the gym 4 - 5 times a week (i have been going to the gm 4 weeks prior to duromine)

I find that duromine doesn't really affect my appetite. the only thing i notice it that i sweat alot and get a little grumpy.

I am reading about people loosing like 5k in 2 days! I haven't lost anything.

Is it possible my body isn't reacting to duromine, or do should i just wait it out a bit longer?

Has anybody else experienced this :-(!
I am a 19 yr old girl and I started taking Duromine 30mg a week ago tomorrow, I have so far lost 2 kilograms.

My starting weight was 60kg. I have been exercising daily and eating the right foods and drinking lots of water. I wake up happy and feeling really awake in the mornings, it gives me the energy to be at work all day and still have lots of energy to exercise after work.

The only side effects I have had is feeling my heart beat a bit faster.

Bad experience on Duromine was drinking when i went out. Became extremely drunk from only a alcoholic drinks. I dont remember a lot of the night which is obviously extremely dangerous in a nightclub!
This was obviously my own fault as it is clearly stated DO NOT drink alcohol while taking Duromine.

Would definitely recommend Duromine as a kick start to weight loss feel fantastic and even better knowing im losing weight! =)
The thing most of you guys need to remember is regardless of what lies have been filled in your heads, there is no magic pill to make you thin. there is no 'easy' way to lose weight, and the tablets that doctors prescribe for you can have some very serious side effects.

I was really shocked to read that some of you are weighing yourself after just one day, or two or four days, weigh yourself once per week, on the same day, on the same scales at the approx same time in the same outfit (or better yet naked)

Putting on the weight took a significant amount of time, it is something that doesn't happen over night no matter how much you insist it will. Losing the weight will an extremely hard and generally long journey.

Weight loss medication (prescription meds like duro and reductil) should only be being prescribed for OBESE people. that is what they are for - they aren't meant for you to lose 10kgs for your wedding, anniversary or that other special event, they aren't a replacement for healthy eating and excersize they are meant to be used in conjunction with diet and excersize, so put down the big mac kiddies, and perhaps put down the womens magazines you read that instill this kind of c**p in your heads.

the last thing you should be doing is risking your health to lose a small amount of weight because you are too lazy to go for a run, the prescribing doctors should have their licences revoked for being so stupid, instead they should have told you to get off your ass and go for a walk or instead of forking out 100$ for a month of pills, perhaps invest that into a GYM MEMBERSHIP.

to the person that said they eat well, dont over eat and work out regularly, you can lie to yourself all you like, but the truth is you are the only person making you fat and you need to take ownership of your weight problem. if you really did stick to a strict well balanced diet and excersize program, you wouldn't have your 'fat' ass in the first place. stop lying to yourself.

sorry for the double post
Duromine is a prescription only drug and should only be used for short term weight loss due to its restriction use of 12 weeks.

As JellyBeans says, there is no magic bullet ALL GOOD DIET PILLS suggest in combination with healthy diet and exercise!
I understand that everyone's experiences are different so I thought I should share my positive one.

I am the kind of person who lacks motivation severely and am an extremely tired person, napping once or twice during the day was a regular thing. My house was a mess, I was extremely overweight and most likely a bit depressed. I didn't want to do anything.

I began taking Duromine 30mg 8 weeks ago due to some abnormal liver function results (caused by being overweight). It was my last desperate attempt to shed those pesky post-pregnancy pounds and I am getting married in 8 weeks (want to look as fantastic as possible).

I am a 22-year old stay at home mother to a 10 month old baby girl. I weighed 94kg and am 169cm tall and after 30 days of tablets, I weighed 79kg. I experienced ZERO negative side effects. I had extra energy, was sleeping like a baby at night time and as the kilos came off, I felt fantastic.

After finishing my course, I gave myself a 4 week break and maintained my weight by simply exercising at least 3 times a week (i would walk or do some sit-ups, nothing too hardcore). I still indulged here and there as human beings do, but by following the national standard of the food pyramid intake and a bit of exercise, I kept the weight off.

I went back to the doctor last week for a check-up. My blood pressure was fine and my heart sounded great. I had some follow-up blood tests and my liver function is no longer abnormal, it is completely healthy. Today I started next lot of Duromine 30mg as I would like to get to 68kg and then I will fend for myself after this course.

I followed the prescription carefully and have the following useful tips:

*Set your alarm for 6am and have Tony Ferguson/Celebrity Slim or whatever weight loss shake system you have in your country. These are milky (to line your stomach) and bulky (make you feel very full). If you don't like this idea, any other reasonably portioned breakfast would be fine. Take the tablet on top of your breakfast. If you wish to go back to bed until the pill kicks in, by all means go for it. I have a young child and partner who does not begin work until 8am so I would get dressed and go for a brisk walk around my block for 45 minutes. While my heart rate was still pumping when I got home, I would lay down and do some sit-ups (my problem area is my stomach) and go for a shower. If my daughter woke in the time I was gone, my partner would tend to her as he is excited for me to lose weight and understands I need his help every now and then to do so. I'd then have a shower and be ready for the day. Taking the pill early in the morning helps you get to sleep that night, having breakfast kicks starts your metabolism for the day (rather than taking the pill on an empty stomach and not eating all day, which makes you go into starvation mode and the weight you lose comes back, not to mention you will feel like c**p), getting a days worth of exercise out of the way in the morning and having a shower and being dressed by 7:30 in the morning will make you feel refreshed and ready for the day.
*Drink lots of water. Keep a 750mL bottle of water with you at all times. I find the 1.5L gets bulky and goes to room temp too fast making it less enjoyable. I credit this as to why I never experienced a dry mouth.
*You will find that when you begin to get hungry, you aren't as "starving" as usual. This gives you time and clarity to prepare something healthy for yourself rather than rushing to the nearest fast food outlet (which was my weakness, I wouldnt have breakfast and would get that starving that I would just go to the drive-thru for a quick fix rather than make a salad or a healthy sandwich).
*I got rid of any food in my pantry (sweets etc) that I didn't "need" and would hinder my weight loss. Removing temptation was a huge benefit, it forces you (once again) to have something healthy.
*I set goals for myself, not weight goals, reward goals. If I exercised each day and ate well, I would reward myself once a week or fortnight to a night out to a restaurant with my partner or friends. Most menus have healthy options too.

I strongly believe that most (not all) negative side effects are the result of not following the correct procedures with the Duromine. Those people who don't eat whilst on it need to realise that they are in fact starving their bodies. You're body cannot function without steady food and water intake so of course if you dont eat all day, you're body is going to tell you it does not like it as you are basically killing it.

In saying so, I do understand that Duromine is not for everyone. So to anyone who followed the procedures perfectly and it still had negative side effects, please do not take offence. Everyone is different, I just hope my thoughts help the silly ones who don't follow the right steps and whinge that it didn't work or made them feel like hell. Duromine is on the market for a reason, it does work for some people.

Bottom line, you don't just take the pill and hope for a miracle. You still have a bit of work to do. Im not saying my routine would work for everyone. If you are going to start Duromine, set up your own routine, based on your schedule and your tastes and do your best to stick to it. If fat were that easy to lose, no one in the world would be overweight.

I will let you know when I get to 68kg! :-)
How tall are you? 60kg is certainly not overweight or obese... your Dr should be shot for prescribing Duromine if you are not overweight!

For the record, I am 76kg 166cm tall. I am 40 years old and have never been over 65kg except when pregnant and any excess weight was quickly lost. I eat heathily and walk for around an hour 5-6 times a week. In April last year I was prescribed anti-depressants after going through a particularly tumultuous 12 months and stacked on 10kg in 6 weeks (a side effect of the anti-depressants) and I wasn't hardly eating at all. I have been unable to shift this 10kg. My doctor (who has known me since I was a child) was hesitant to prescribe me Duromine even though my general health is excellent. I have had two close friends who have used Duromine to lose a bit of excess weight, both with great success with minimal side effects.

I am on Day 3.....40mg. Definately not feeling hungry AT ALL... although am forcing myself to eat small portions of healthy food every 3-4 hours. Feel much more alert and energetic - my normal daily walk seems much easier to do. No problems sleeping (which is strange as I have been an insomniac most of my adult life getting by on 3-4 hours of sleep a night). Dry mouth which is easily fixed by drinking the recommended 2 litres of water a day.

Have asked family and friends to let me know if I seem "snappier" than usual or if I am showing any signs or anxiety/depression etc.

Will keep you all posted on progress, side effects etc.

Cheers :-)
To be really honest ... I have lost 4kgs in 1 week (using 30mg) but my reason was that I couldnt eat anything at all, I had no appetite I felt like throwing up even just thinking of food. I only had fluids, but that only made me go to the bathroom like every half an hour, very annoying. Yet I had so much energy that I went for runs did a work out at home and I was sweating like crazy. This is my second week and I have lost only 2 kilos, seems like the pills aren't working I actually have an appetite, but I am only eating fruits and vegies throughtout the day and before 5pm I have some protein such as grilled fish or skinless chicken with some salad (no salt, no dressing) as my dinner. I think I prefer to loose 2 kilos a week, 4 kilos a week seemed unhealthy and I was really worried about myself. But you have to keep in mind everyones bodies react differently. So try and not to compare your process to other peoples as long as you are feeling healthy and loosing atleast 1-2kilos a week then the pills are working for you.
Hi. I have recently stared Duromine. My doctor explained to me, that due to Duromine's nature, it should be taken for no longer than 3 consecutive months, and only for 3 months of every 12, as it is addictive and bad for your health if taken for longer than this.
I have been on the 30mg tablets for 3 days now, I am yet to experience any of the really nasty side effects. I get the dry mouth a few hours after I have taken it. I still sleep, I might wake a little more often during the night to use the bathroom. But this is it.
Is there anyone who has had success with Duromine, whom had no side effects, and still managed to loose weight and maintain it once off the drug?
My first day on Duromine, I took it a 6 this morning, it's 12h41 and I'm starving!!!!? Don't think that's good sign, could I possibly be one of the few it doesn't work for?
Hi All

Just started usng Duromine 30mg this morning at 06h00. Now it's 12h45 and I'm starving. How long does it take to kick in? Could I be one of the few people it doesn't do wonders for?
