I hope someone can help me out. I have just gone thru a bad bout with insomnia. I have been on quite a few medications thru the last 4 years. The insomnia came about just as I was comming down with some type of bacterial infection. The doctor put me on cipro. I have been on it for about 5 days now. Yesterday was very bad, evey time I walk i get these "shocking" feelings thru my head and body. I am also suffering from bad back problems and have been on everything from fentenyl, percocet, and I am comming off of a few weeks of methadone. I have been off the metadone for about 3- 4 weeks now, and the doctor has put me on Gabentin. I was to take it 3 times a day, but could not tolerate it ,so he told me just take it at night for now. I feel like i am going to crawl out of my skin on some days. This whole feeling of getting the "electric shock feeling" is very scary.I hope someone out there may have some type of an answer for what this might be. PLEASE HELP.

I have been experience ING theses for about 3 years now. I believe it is caused by the magnetic pull that is happening on our planet. The sun is giving off massive solar flares and cosmic waves lately. They alsway coincide with a solar fkzre or large earthquakes which is magnetic. Try grounding yourself w stones or crystals. It seems to help. Also put your feet in water.
exact samething for me when i miss a dose :p that pain in the ass
I have the same shock feeling. Whole body. Worse when standing or move my head fast. My Dr said it's from high blood pressure caused by all the pain my body's in. It calms down when the meds kick in. Said if it keeps up will have to change up the meds. Most of all the one's for depression Doctors like to use to tell your brain you have no pain.

I've been having the electricity and the vibrating and like a train it runs through my whole body from head to tow and back up. I also hear cracklelling in my head among other thing. I thought my skull was cracking at first and was horrified. I've had no choice over the last 8 months but to deal with it. It hurts in my head and my spine sometimes . I've gone to the er a few times thinking imm dying through some of my attaches. The Dont even try to feel the trembelling in my body that my boyfriend feels when he holds me tight.. I've done a lot of research out there on the computer. There's a lot of people out there that has the same symptoms as me. They try to say I'm crazy. The I Dont know how much longer I can take this torture.. Besides that I've had hackers that I can't get rid of and none helps. I'm near the end. I hope I can find an answer for us today.

I have taken Lexapro for 10 months now. I started to experience the "eletrical zaps" mostly while I was excercising. It was pretty scary but did not happen all that often. 1 1/2 months ago I started to take Chantix and the electical zappy feelings have gotten pretty bad. Now I experience this feeling off and on throughout the day mostly everyday. Seeing your experience, further validates my thinking that this is being cause by the medication I am taking. Did you ever get any professional advice or answers?
I too have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia. I almost constantly have this "tesla ball" sensation. This is the only way I can describe it. I feel like electricity is running all over head, neck, and shoulders. Sometimes arms and legs. I have been on Savella for several years. When I try to explain the sensation people look at me like I am nuts.
Ohh I have the same problem , I never talk about it to my Docters , I hope it will be some med that can help us for this kind of desease , Just keep hope ,
Hi, I'm 26 and suffering from pretty much all of those symptoms with the same circumstances, except I did not ever have a fever. Since this post is quite old, I wanted to ask if you got any answers. Thank you!
It's from opiate withdrawal. I get it all the time.
Thanks for your feedback, but I have never taken any opiates.
Yes! But even I don't miss the dose this happens. I have currently been this way for 3 days...
