Hi, I just had the procedure about three weeks ago, 11 days after it was done, I gushed, like my water broke. It lasted for 1 day, and then 4 days later I started like a normal period, I feel very unlucky that I wasn't the percentage that it didn't stop my cycle, I'm sort of pissed off actually. Im almost 40, my kids are grown and my husband is fixed , why couldn't I get a historectomy..

Hi, I had this procedure done a year gone September and I have had no problems and no bleeding. I would have it done again because the problems I had before it was done were unbearable. So to anyone who is considering this I would say go for it.

HAS ANYONE ELSE HAD AN ENDOMETRIAL ABLATION THAT SIMPLY DID NOT WORK??? I had the procedure back in October, here it is January and I'm on my third cycle since the procedure. How dissapointing to go through the process, and spend so much money on it, with such bad results. I was just wondering if any other women have experienced failure with this procedure. Thanks

I had this procedure done February 2010, and went a whole month without any type of discharge just completely dry. Then the most embarrasing thing happened I was on stage doing a play and out of no where I am flooded with water like my water broke. Then I had my period for about 3 days and it was gone again until April 2010. I have been spotting everyday for the last 45 days with PMS symptoms the works. I am so upset I havent called my doctor because I dont want to hear what he has to say.

Hi My name is Mary and I had the procedure July 2, 2010, we are ending September 2010 and entering 3 months since my surgery and still without a period. I had such horrible periods lasting up to 10 days, heavy clotting cramps. I was a slight anemia and literally had to stay home for the first 2-3 days due to overflowing thoughout my clothing, carseat, chairs at work. I always wanted to cry. Since I have had this procedure I have not had a period, light cramps around my normal cycle and perhaps a light spot of brown. Looking back on the necessity of tampons along with overnite maxi-pads to just maintain my flow to just an ocassional mini pad, I am in heaven. This procedure was covered by my insurance and was a fast recovery. I also have a Great Doctor, who is truly concerned with my well being and health, she is Great! Would I reccomend? YES! YES! YES! Sorry to those whom it did not work for. My results were good. :-D [url]

I had NovaSure done in December 2006 and have been period free since then, no side effects, no PMS etc. I am very disheartend to hear the stories here that weren't a success with this and similar procedures. I feel for you ladies & will pray that something helps soon! As for those asking about the cost, i was fortunate enough to have insurance that covered almost the whole thing, out of pocket I spent $ 1700, not sure of the total cost! Good luck to those wanting this procedure and to those who have had it & not had success.......

HI

I HAD THE PROCEDURE DONE 10/23/03 I WALKED OUT OF THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE FEELING BETTER THAN I DID IN 40 YEARS BUT...NO PERIODS, NO PMS, NO CRYING, NO NOTHING FOR 8 YEARS.

NOW FOR WATEVER REASON IT SEEMS TO BE THE WORST MENSTRUAL CRAMPING I'V EXPERIENCED.  I DON'T KNOW WHY AND EITHER DO THE DOCTORS.

WHEN I PAYED ALL THE MONEY I FIGURED IT WOULD TAKE ME UNTIL MEMOPAUSE .  THE PAIN DAILY IS SO INTENSE.  I THINK IT WAS WORSE NOT HAVING THE BLEEDING ALL THOSE YEARS THAN TO GO THRU THIS.

NOT SURE WHAT MY NEXT STEPS ARE I KNOW I WOULDN'T HAVE IT DONE AGAIN.

I HAD THE PROCEDURE DONE 10/03 AND NEVER HAD A SPOT OF BLEEDING BUT RECENTLY I'V EXPERIENCED CRAMPING THAT IS THE WORST EVER I'M NOT SURE IF IT'S MY BODY TRYING TO REVERSE ITSELF. THAT THE ONLY REASON I CAN COME UP WITH FEELING THIS INTENSE PAIN.

I had the novasure procedure this past february, and it did NOT work! I have the same problems since the procedure that i was having BEFORE the procedure. Two periods a month, lasting 7 days or more each. I have spent over $5000 on office visits and the procedure....needless to say, im furious and still bleeding. a complete waste of time, money, and energy...

hi there i had the same procedure a few years back and i can honestly say i wish i had never bothered. My periods are back just as heavy and the pain before and during is even worse than ever now. plus i also got an infection after the procedure which took me off work several months. when i mentioned the pain to the consultant he informed me this is quite often the case but why was it never mentioned before !!!

I had the procedure in May of 2012...had a couple "lighter" periods but they are pretty much back to the way they were, maybe minus the clots. One thing that has changed...I now have horrible cramps for 3 days before and during bleeding. My doctor just told me that it didn't work on me and I should just have a historectomy...the very thing I was trying to avoid!

Hi Lisa,

I had horrendous cramps and endless bleeding with my periods and when I saw my gyno he said not to even worry about the ablation because it always comes back and not a solution. I am 38 and had my hysterectomy last year kept my ovaries so as not to do HRT and I would not change a thing, I've not had any problems since and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Why wouldn't you want a hysterectomy? If I may ask? If you have a good doctor than you will have NO worries with it at all.

Hope this helps
