I masturbated and noticed less ejaculate, yes. However, I think that may have to do with being nervous as hell trying to not feel any pain. I actually didn't feel too uncomfortable. One thing that freaked me out was seeing yellow ejaculate until I remembered I'm taking a multivitamin that turns my piss fluorescent yellow hahah.
The MRI results came back and everything is normal! For a moment, I thought everything really was normal... then nighttime came and I noticed my right testicle rising. I laid down and slept for a few hours and when I woke up, it was high up and twisting. Of course, there was pain that went along with that f***ing testicle riding up. Yeah, "normal."
I'm taking photos to document this shite just because whenever I go in for a physical check, they're usually relaxed and look almost normal. The other thing I'm doing is compiling everything into a binder with the results; I also picked up the MRI, the CT, and some ultrasound results for the next visits. I'm still gonna wait to see the urologists and ask them once and for all to do exploratory surgery to see what really is going on in there.
From what I've read and seen, this is NOT what epididymitis is supposed to look like. I either have a torn left cremaster muscle on the left side, an overactive cremaster muscle on the right side, a short spermatic cord on the right side, a torn scrotal ligament on the left side... something more rare and strange, but that fits what my symptoms are displaying. Since the other doctors don't know what's going on and don't want to bother to find out, they just give me the canned response: "It's epididymitis."
JCA, I am going to see my Dr next week I will ask him about ALL other options.
The pain is really bad today.
Keep me updated JCA I hope you are sorted soon buddy.
F**k it, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by becoming more and more informed about your symptoms and condition. I told ya, I'm starting to make my own personal file with print outs of all my test results, discussions with other people, explanations of treatments, etc. When you show up to your doctor's office, you will be prepared to know what to ask. At this point, I would even suggest bringing someone else along, a family member or trusted friend, into these visits just so that they can also grill the doctor about your treatment options.
I have an appointment with another urologist from UC Irvine Medical here in Orange County for April 8. I told them I couldn't wait that long and that I'd end up at the ER again, so they told me to hold up until the 25th of this month for them to bump me up a few days earlier. I still kept my other appointment for April 21st at UCLA Medical Urology just in case I need further reaffirmation or in case this other guy turns a deaf ear to what I have to say.
I'm in the same boat as you, Welshguy - nonstop pain and discomfort every f***ing day. I'm virtually house-bound and, sometimes, my family has to take care of me, which is a d**n shame. I still don't know what the hell is going on with me; my testicles are WARPED and deformed. Sh!t, I'm hoping I don't have prostatitis since I am ejaculating smaller and smaller amounts and have felt faint discomfort in the prostate area (although no painful or difficulty urinating). Every day is something new to note... but I have to keep going for the sake of family and friends.
The pain has never been as bad as it is now ENOUGH IS ENOUGH injections or anything else I am willing to try like you my friend EVERY DAY IN PAIN No Quality of life whatsoever.
I will update you after Thursday .
Keep in touch and take care buddy.
I hope you are doing ok? Take care buddy
Wow, add me to the list of people just diagnosed with this horrible condition.
I am 29 years old, mere days away from my 30th birthday, and I'm on Cipro as we speak.
Went into see doctor with pain in left testicle and lower abdomen, coming on strongly seemingly randomly at times.
He instantly diagnosed it as epididimydis and prescribed me 2 weeks of Cipro.
I am 3 days away from finishing my dose and I can already tell it has done nothing at all.
I have read this entire thread top to bottom, and I am absolutely gutted after reading about people who have to suffer with this entire lives.
With all the modern medicine out there and this being a supposedly "common" affliction -- where the hell is the solution? Or why does the solution work for most men, but the few of us are stuck without answers?
I'm assuming the next step is going to be referral to a urologist and a whole crapload more prescription drugs, words cannot express how depressed I am at this point.
I am thinking it may have possibly been caused by unprotected sex? My wife has complained about random yeast infections for as long as I've known her. What if what I have is a result of that?
I will definitely be checking back here constantly, and are you guys keeping in touch through any other more direct methods? I am all ears
Cheers from Toronto
PS: the only thing making this bearable and changing my mood from pure depression to forgetting my worries is that green plant that is on its way to becoming legalized.
i am now on Gaberpentin (Google it) been on it for three weeks it's seems to dull the pain quite a bit but not 100 percent I've got a Drs app tomorrow (Thursday) I will up date you all.
what I understand if you are lucky and are given antibiotics STRAIGHT AWAY you have more chance of getting rid of it my Doctor was too late given them to me,he gave me all the wrong advice where as I should have been resting he told me to keep active which in fact you should be resting with this horrible condition .
any questions please feel free to ask I think I've now become a expert on eppididymitis as I'm now going into my 3rd year YES 3 Years..I feel for you guys.
I'm going on my 3rd month with whatever affliction this thing is. The doctors and urologists were saying it's "epididymitis." Sure, some of the symptoms fit that disease, but I also now have a right, high-ridng testicle, which I never had before, and this thing causes me great discomfort and pain. My left testicle hangs lower now and horizontally. My scrotum looks f***ing deformed! There's no way this is the effect if just epididymitis.
I have another appointment with a 3rd urologist to try to confirm what this is. I'm pushing for some kind of exploratory surgery to see what the hell is wrong with the positioning of my testicles. If I could have an answer for that and have that sh!t corrected, I'd be part of the way cured/relieved.
Of course, there is pain and discomfort that comes with this, and my life has changed drastically - I cannot sit, walk, stand, or lie down for prolonged periods of time. I can't run. I can't even have sex or masturbate without freaking out about the pain. Speaking of which, I am ejaculating a lot less now, so who knows what kind of damage is in there now... and that only helps to add to my paranoia of what is really going on with my f***ing balls.
It's tough trying to remain optimistic about this and I can only hope you guys have a strong support group of family and friends to help you through this. I know for sure if I did not have them, I'd have done away with myself by now.
Oh, and I really doubt it was your wife who gave you the infection. If the antibiotics didn't work, there is something else causing you to have this disease.
In my case, now my left side, the one with pain, is the one constantly retracting into my hip area, and the right one is hanging lower.
My run of Cipro ends tomorrow. Saturday night, I am going out to the pub to celebrate my birthday and try to put this miserable affliction out of my head for a night. Forcefully. With whisky. Then I will schedule a followup appointment as soon as I recover from my hangover on Monday or Tuesday.
Also, I can lay down for infinite amounts of time, that's the only position I can hold for long periods on end without discomfort. When I experience discomfort lying down I just tend to adjust positions and pray for it to go away.
My friend, I really suggest you look into some mary-jane for the medicinal purposes. It's not a myth that it works wonders, and if it wasn't for it, I'd probably die of depression. It is extremely therapeutic and can almost instantly fix my mood after having a few puffs. If you're against the idea of smoking, then vaporize it
Just my 2cents of course! Please keep me posted and I will do the same
I am now taking Gabapentin which is used for chronic pain I've been taking it for 3 weeks,I saw my doctor yesterday and he said to take it for 3 months then come off them slowly then we wil take things from there.
JCA I also noticed less sperm ,the tube that is affected with us guys carrys the sperm.
My pain is still there but very much in the background I take things easy at the moment.
Any questions feel free to ask me guys .
Holy sh*t, optical, some of your symptoms match mine - retractile testicle that goes up into the lower hip area (not quite into the inguinal canal, I think, but I'm not sure). The right testicle rises up with cold temperature, of course, but also whenever I am sexually aroused. It goes up inside the pelvis and slowly descends down soon after. I recall it used to do that once in a while. Now, this f***ing thing does it all the time, as if my cremaster muscle is on overdrive. It also rises up throughout the day with any kind of pelvic and abdominal movement; even breathing deep and swallowing food and drink causes it to twitch! In the meantime, my left testicle looks as if it is hanging precariously, which is why I wear a god d*mn jock strap all the time. I hate that uncomfortable sh!t. I want to wear regular underwear, like everyone else.
The pain is probably the same as WelshGuy's - "in the background" at all times. It's not an 8, 9, or 10, but more like a constant, annoying 3, maybe 4 on a really bad day, esp. if I don't wear the jock strap. It's VERY uncomfortable, in other words. I swear, I've actually considered just having my testicles removed at this point...
I wish I was given this drug ages ago, when I have to stop taking it in 3 months time god only knows how I will be.
I now wear briefs rather than boxer shorts as support does help.
Keep in touch guys any questions feel free to ask.
