I hear you! I'm 61 and 5'9" also. Same problem... I weigh only126 lbs. and a cup of coffee or a piece of toast blows me up like I'm pregnant! The only way I can look good is if I don't eat! I have very small breasts so the first thing I see is my belly when I look down! If I get my pants to fit me, they give me a muffin top because the waist is too tight! Help!

Stop eating bread, no more soda, and keep the carbohydrates down....your bloating and heavy stomach will subside after a few weeks to a month. I get this from time to time.....and I found this to be the cure to the problem.....when us me get older....eating these food and drinking these drink ways more on us than you think.....trust me....try this.

I've been on Omeprazole 20mg for over a year. It stopped the heart burn and sickness after meals. However I have swelling under my breasts and sometimes it gets caught under my right rib cage! I have a hiatus hernia but not sure it's connected. I look awful as it shows in all my clothes and looks like bumps within the fatty bulge. The omeprazole opens my bowels every morning. I've been 12 stone 5 ozs for the last three years and can't shift weight. I lose inches but no weight. I play golf four times a week and walk miles at weekend. Wish I knew what it was.

Did you ever find out what was causing the issues ?

I tried eliminating one food item at a time until I found what was causing the bloating. Unfortunately it was food that I really liked but I have no choice but to stop eating them. The bloating ceased.

It sounds like you may have tapeworm or parasites. Ask your doc to test you for that.

I am approx same age. This same thing just started happening to me approx 7 months ago. I've been to doctors. Many tests. I eat clean. Exercise daily. My plumbing is good. No gas. Do you take anything that helps. I can gain and lose 15 lbs within a couple hours of blowing up. Any info would be very helpful

im in the same boat! I am 47 and in menopause. I have been thin for the past 20+ years. I was never overweight but I am 5'6" and have weighed 125-128 since my 20s. But in the past 6-8 months I have repidly gained about 15-20 lbs! Now, I definitely drink a lot, and I stopped working out about 3 or 4 months ago. But I have barely been eating and I walk everywhere. In addition, I have had the same routine as I do now, on and off, for years. My belly is so disgustingly and annoyingly bloated. I have a flat stomach for at least 12-15 years and took pride in it. But now I can't fit into my clothes, shirts and pants! my boobs have gone up in size from 34/36 B/C to 38C if not bigger! I am definitely
not preggers but feels like I am! Weirder is, that when I try to put my clothes on that I have had forever, they barely fit over my chest and I can't even get some over my hips.I thought that I only gained the weight in my stomach and a little in my hips and chest area. But trying to pull up my pants, even just past my thighs (which haven't seemed to be a weight gain area) is a chore! NOTHING FITS! NOT EVEN MY TOPS! WTF!! HELP!!!

I know you posted over a year ago so not sure anyone will see this. But I am in the same boat. Also male. Stomach has been continually distending by about an inch a month. Gone from 36 inches to 42 since beginning of the year, I look pregnant. Doctors say IBS but tried probiopics and fodmap diet and made no difference. Always tired and having bladder trouble too. Only tests done have been colonoscopy which can back clear. I'm completely lost at what to do. Doctors are not interested.

I too have this issue and have gone gluten free and it's made a HUGE difference. Every time I consume gluten now I swell up and I'm in awful pain in my stomach. I look pregnant. You can be gluten sensitive without being celiac. NCGS. I'm just waiting for tests now to see if I have a wheat allergy. Wouldn't shock me in the slightest xxxx
