In the last few years I have been experiencing my right eye drooping a bit and the left eye lid actually lifting very wide. It looks very disturbing. It can last a whole minute. What could be the cause of this, as I am experiencing this more and more? I can actually feel it coming on.

It's possibly Bell's Palsy. A weakness in facial muscles due to a nerve disorder.
See your doctor. It can be caused by Lyme disease among other causes.
