Hi Roxter,
Check if you nostrils get dry during night time and especially if they get stuck- no air passing by. If you can't properly breath by the nose while sleeping, it can reduce the amount of oxygen in the blood while asleep and can trigger depression and other anxiety problems, in the long term. I had turbinate reduction that create the issues above, the septoplasty in itself didn't cause any troubles.
hi ,, I am dr ali .. have u ever investigate ur self for thyroid function ,, patient wha had a history of stress , then develope this story with strong heart beat , it may be a secondary to hyperthyrodism .
I had the same issues as of late that you've all been experiencing. I think there are many key factors and many people have touched upon them throughout these posts. I'm going to re list a bunch of them and also give some of my own input into what could be afflicting so many people. Diet and exercise are key to helping your heart and respiratory system stay in optimal health. Take deep breaths through the nose and out the mouth when exercising to force your lungs to stretch so they can hold more air. The more oxygen you can get into the blood the easier it is for your heart to deliver, less work. Exercise also strengthens the heart muscle so make sure you exercise at least once a day even if it's just taking a walk around the block.
You might want to take some supplements like magnesium and potassium plus B12, iron and iodine. I personally drank and smoked heavily for years. I quit drinking first 5 months ago and smoking 2 months later. As part of my extreme health makeover I went completely raw vegan for 5 months. I had heart palpitations and panic attacks like you wouldn't believe and I think I was on the verge of death. I went to a QiGong practitioner, was actually having one of these attacks on the way through her door and she put various acupuncture needles in my hands and ear and got me relaxed. After asking about my diet and blood type she instructed me to go out immediately and eat a piece of steak. With a type O+ blood type you need to eat meat, it's not even an option. I was depleting my body of every major vitamin and mineral that you need to feed your heart, lungs and brain and my body had started to eat itself. After 4 days of eating meat again my heart palpitations have gone completely away, I only get minor heavy breathing and minor panic associated with them. That part is probably mental because I'm anticipating the same feeling to return and it makes things worse. I've been doing breathing exercises to stay calm and focused and it definitely helps. I feel like I'll recover 100% after I take a few more steps.
I also have a filling that fell out of one of my molars about 5 years ago and it never bothered me so I never bothered to have it fixed. The tooth did not continue to decay and was not painful so I ignored it. Not smart, bacteria flourishes in a situation like this and it's known to be directly related to heart conditions. I'm going to have it fixed next week. I also hurt my spine a bit when I started working out again at the gym while doing military presses. It feels like I popped a disk and it is relatively painful and noticeably out of whack, probably pinching some nerves. I'm going to the chiropractor next week as well to have this addressed. I think once these issues are cleared up I'll bounce back 100% rather quickly and I'll post after a couple weeks to let everyone know how these adjustments helped.
I really believe the issue is caused by stress as a result of poor nutrition and it can snowball out of control. I recommend highly that you avoid the vegan diet, it can kill you, Google it. I recommend not taking any drugs whatsoever and just taking organic supplements to fill in the gaps where necessary. Sadly, and on a final note, I also believe that the New World Order has been spraying aerosol chemicals on us for the better part of 20 years and these problems are becoming more prevalent. With the disappearance of bees, reduction of fish populations (not due to overfishing), and trees in certain areas just drying up and dying it's no doubt causing a depletion of life force in all living things. This could mean that we're not getting the same amount of vitamins/minerals out of our normal food portions that we used to. This makes it highly important that we focus on what we consume to optimize the return and not eat any junk whatsoever.
Eat only 100% (organic if possible) grass fed beef, free range chicken, non-farm-raised fish (eat a lot of shrimp and shell fish if you can for the iodine and B vitamins), and low carb vegetables are the way to go. Avoid grains and corn like the plague, especially since the majority of them are now highly toxic genetically modified foods that damage your DNA (that means NO BREADS OR PASTAS). You don't need a whole lot of fruit, if you eat fruit eat the lowest carb stuff you can find. Remember, where most of our ancestors evolved there weren't banana and orange trees all over the place, there were free range animals, fish, berries and green vegetables. We've got to keep our bodies strong by keeping them in tune at all times and listening to them, eat when you're hungry, quit trying to look like Brangelina! Remember, Illuminati members have access to all the best health info that we don't get, that's why they refer to themselves as the Illuminated ones. Forums like this allow us to share information and I believe we'll get to the solution(s) together. Peace and God bless!
It can caused by caffeine.
If it has started recently, then you should be able to figure your reason!
Ok. I used to have the same issue...and at other times my heart would race. I had ekgs, stress tests, holsters...all normal. Then i started with a very mild chest pain. Same tests, all normal. My cardiologist was telling me it was menopause. I kept pushing back....i was in my 40's at the time. Out of exasperation, he sent me to Mayo Clinic. They immediately gave me a new pulminary valve. That was six years ago, and i have not had one symptom since surgery! I am not saying you need a valve, but please push back!
Hey :) Im 14, female and ive been having this since about august last year. I have really bad health axiety which has leaded to me going to the school nurse every two seconds and councilling. Ive been under alot of stress an axiety since august which has already caused me alot of problems. It seems like a while ive had this, but normally it happens when I panic, or sometimes at random times when it feels like i dont breathe enough. It feels like my heart skips a beat and then makes up for it in two strong beats. I can breath fine when it happens and it only lasts about 2-3 seconds. It feels weird but im not in any pain when it happens and i feel perfectly fine after it happens. When i think about it more it happens more often, because i panic i think. I do mixed martial arts training every week and i also go out on weekends and sometimes weekdays around the lake and run about. Is this just happening because of axiety or should i see a doctor? Is there any cause for concern?
Just to put up my story, I have the exact same thing as everyone else. I'm 27 and 6'1 170 lbs, HEALTHY. Healthy, healthy. I eat super well, no smoking, no drinking. I do have hypoglycemia and am intolerant to some food chemicals and preservatives, but today none of those things were a factor unless I ate too many carbs which is TOTALLY possible, I just ate a bunch of biscuits. But recently I've been very stressed as my mom has cancer and I had a super work out last night. Tonight, for the first time ever I'm lying here and my heart is slowly just pounding very very hard. But I feel... good. I feel fine and relaxed. It's just surprising and equally annoying as it only started right before I'm about to take a nap for a couple of hours.... no nap. I think its possibly a physiological reaction to a lot of physical and emotional stress.
POSSIBLY THE ANSWER
hey everyone, for months now I have been experiencing the same pounding heart that keeps me awake at night. I've been through every test there is as the doctors kept thinking it was my heart/anxiety/stress.
It was only until recently that my doctor decided to do a blood test looking for vitamin deficiency's. Sure enough, im quite severly deficient in vitamin B12. This has all the same symptoms e.g heart palpitations, weakness, pale, insomnia, gassy. Mainly the heart palpatations! So my doc gave me an injection and for two weeks I felt fantastic, the pounding heart was gone and I was getting some wonderful sleep. but now it's time for another injection as I'm feeling c**p again and the pounding heart is back.
Appatently doctors and hospitals do not look for this stuff in blood tests as they only look for major problems. I had so many blood tests and no one checked my B12 levels. so it may be worth mentioning this to your doc, definitely get a b12 check!
B12 comes from animal products which I eat plenty of so I've been told my body does not absorb it and I may need injections for the rest of my life, but I'm fine with that as long as it takes the pounding heart away because that was a nightmare and I feel for everyone out there who has it. It really is a frustrating thing to go through and if not fixed it can lead to depression/anxiety/nerve damage and it will just get worse over time. The injections work really fast too, the next day I was feeling better straight away. Don't take vitamin tablets, they take forever to work, go straight for the injection.
I hope you all find peace with this soon! xx
I have the same thing happening to me. I can see my heart beating almost all of the time if I look down at my chest. When I'm sitting in class I sometimes find myself tuning out of everything going on in the room and I start to notice that I can feel the sensation of my heart pumping inside me without looking at it or even putting my hand on my chest. I think I'm reasonably fit and I don't have any health complaints at all.
There was a day where we had wear name badges for some assembly at school, and I put mine on the left side of my shirt (without really thinking). We had to stand for a whole 45 mins or so. At some point, somebody standing next to me noticed my name tag moving. My heart was literally pushing the badge in and out with every beat. As the word got around, more and more people turned around to watch my beating heart. The idea of being centre of attention for something like that made my heart beat faster and harder putting on quiet a show. Later that same day, some of my friends went so far as to ask to feel it beating. When they put their hand on my heart they were astonished at how accurately I could tell them the exact moment every contraction occurred without looking at it feeling it with my own hand. Its become a bit of a joke ever since. None of them said they have ever felt such a thing themselves. I actually thought I may be the only person in the world to feel this until I read all of your posts.
It doesn't bother me in the slightest. I feel it pumping away at night too but I find it kind of soothing. I think I've come to love my heart but honestly, most of my friends are more obsessed with it than I am.
I really don't think anyone should necessarily take it as a sign of bad health or anything.
After reading your post about vitamin B12, I think that could be the answer. I figure since energy drinks are loaded with B12, and I abruptly stopped taking those in, that that could be the problem in my case.
I've had these same symptoms as you and I'm around your age, I'm 31. I was athletic in High School. After having two kids, I started having problems during my second pregnancy and developed pre-eclaympsia/Highpertension disorder and had to deliver the baby early for the baby's sake. Anyways, since then my heartrate averages 130-135 bpm constantly whether I'm lying down and sitting up still. I can only walk for so long before I have to sit down cause I can't hardly breathe and I feel like I'm about to pass out. I've been diagnosed with Anxiety disorder, yet the doctors' do not want to put me on any medication to help with my panic attacks and unnecessary fear. I don't know what to do or who to turn to. I currently do not have health insurance. I've been to the Emergency Room and they did tests on my heart who claim my is perfectly fine. I can't make sense of it. It disrupts my life so much and sometimes brings on Migraine headaches. I will try to drink more water like u said and see if that helps. Thanks for the information. If u read my story and think u know what I'm doing wrong, please respond. Krissy
Lexskinz, please check out Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, a very unheard of/misdiagnosed nervous system disorder. After six years of struggle, I was diagnosed with it last year. It causes me many problems, primarily rapid heart rate, high blood pressure, shortness of breath, and inability to exercise. I have it due to genetics but know many women who first encountered it during/after pregnancy. Please message me or reply if you would like more information. Take care, Brandi
Oh, Wow! I looked up Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome on wikipedia and it describes my symptoms exactly! I am going to try and make an appointment with a doctor who will see me ,though I have no Health Insurance, and see if he/she will look into it for me. Hopefully, listen to me and run some tests. I have probably every symptom. I wonder if there is a treatment for this syndrome? I appreciate your information and time to listen to me! Thanks, Krissy
Krissy, you are very welcome. This website has all sorts of helpful information. http://www.dinet.org/pots_an_overview.htm
Treatment varies and is mainly dependent on what "type" of POTS a person has. For example, I have hyperadrenergic POTS. Basically, that means my body has excess stress hormone, which links to the high blood pressure, rapid heart rate, tremors, etc. My specific treatment is Bystolic (to reduce heart rate) and Losartan (to reduce blood pressure). I have also been advised to eat a healthy, low salt diet, avoid food triggers (gluten, MSG, etc), and drink plenty of water/electrolytes. Other people, though, have different "types" of POTS and instead are prescribed medication to increase blood pressure and eat a diet high in salt. It all depends, which is why it is so important to seek proper diagnosis and treatment.
